Rep Jackson: Biden ignores therapeutics, natural immunity to boost ‘fear-factor’ … ‘control our lives’

In an appearance on the Fox News Channel, U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Tex.) claimed that the Biden administration’s obsession with vaccine mandates and masking is all about misdirection and control, and that continued fear-mongering will be a way for Democrats to justify universal mail-in balloting in the 2022 election cycle.

Along these lines, other pundits have maintained that for authoritarian Democrats in the COVID-19 pandemic, following the science means following the political science. Or as Dr. Oz, the GOP Senate candidate in Pennsylvania, has said repeatedly, “when you mix medicine and politics, you get politics.”

In the midst of a surge in the Omicron variant, “Hannity” substitute host and former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz teed up this portion of the segment by asking the physician and retired Navy admiral what happened to the traditional concepts of herd immunity along with natural immunity among those who have fortunately recovered from COVID.

“Well, Jason, I’ll tell you, because the Biden administration has never focused on testing, therapeutics, or things like natural immunity, which are important to a lot of people out there,” Jackson replied. “The reason is because they need to keep the COVID fear-factor at a certain level, and the best way to do that is to focus on mandatory vaccines and masking.

“That gives them an out, so they can blame the virus on anything and everything that’s not going well for them on their failed policies — on rising crime, on smash and grabs, on inflation, on rising gas prices, and the falling poll numbers. It gives an ‘out’ for everything,” said Jackson, a White House doctor during the George W. Bush, Obama, and Donald Trump administrations who is a first-term congressman representing a North Texas district.

“Just mark my words…in the future, it’s gonna give them another reason to call for unsolicited mail-in ballots in the upcoming election.

“So I think that those are things they don’t care about, those are things that don’t fit their political agenda, and I don’t think you’re gonna hear them talk about that at all. For the first time, they’re talking about therapeutics now a little bit and talking about testing, but they’re not gonna acknowledge natural immunity. I don’t see that happening. That goes against their end goal here,” Jackson concluded.

Jackson has often raised questions about President Biden’s capacity. With regard to a potential second Biden term, Jackson told Chaffetz that the president “is not physically or especially cognitively fit to be our president currently.”

Public health officials have also been mostly silent insofar as lifestyle choices even though, for example, the CDC, noted in a March 2021 study that obesity “is a recognized risk factor for severe COVID-19.”

“Now researchers have found that the coronavirus infects both fat cells and certain immune cells within body fat, prompting a damaging defensive response in the body,” The New York Times reported earlier this month. “If the findings hold up, they may shed light not just on why patients with excess pounds are vulnerable to the virus, but also on why certain younger adults with no other risks become so ill…The finding is particularly relevant to the United States, which has one of the highest rates of obesity in the world.”
