Journalist and podcaster Tim Pool sat down with rapper R.A. the Rugged Man on Thursday to discuss racism and the show exploded with Pool calling him a “racist pr*ck” while the rapper yelled at him to stop screaming and insisted “I’m not that guy.”

“You’re a racist pr*ck. Here’s my hour-long documentary about the black struggle in Ferguson. Yeah, yeah, oh great… a hundred thousand dollar budget. James Baldwin interviews people on the ground to talk about what they’ve been through, and you have the nerve to come up to me and tell me my experiences don’t matter when I’m fighting the fight,” Pool angrily told R.A. during his TIMCAST podcast.

The rapper angrily shot back, “Stop screaming b*tch, stop screaming. First of all, talk, talk to me like I’m… cause I’m not that guy.”

As they talked over one another, Pool retorted, “Yeah, you are, you are that guy. You actually are dude. You are that guy.”

At which point, the rapper came unglued. He violently jumped out of his chair, slapping the microphone while yelling expletives at Pool.

“Calm down. You think…” Pool starts.

“I’m not that guy! You don’t disrespect me, b*tch!!” R.A. yelled.

“What did you do to me? Did you disrespect me?” Pool asked.

He went on to say, “I was nice to you, bro, I was being nice,” as the rapper growled and cursed at him.

“You raising your voice to me like I’m your son, b*tch?” R.A. snapped at him.

“You’re raising your voice to me? Bro, I said… I respected you. I appreciated you,” Pool continued.

“You wouldn’t shut the f*ck up and raising that voice sh*t,” R.A. continued ranting.

“I stopped when you told me to,” the host pointed out. “You said lower my voice, so I lowered my voice. I told you I respected you coming, it was a good show, Pool added.

Tim Pool would go on to later tweet, “Everybody sharing that one clip from last night but they don’t share the part where we apologize to each other and hug it out RA is a cool dude and a legend. We just got heated and we both felt bad about it.”

Rapper R.A. the Rugged Man also backed down and claimed all was good between the two of them: “Respect @timcast I was out of line last night. I have a lot of life sh-t going on right now and brought that bullsh*t energy to the show, I have to work on that. I was wrong. I got emotional and reacted like an idiot. Peace to @Lukewearechange and @sourpatchlyds.”

People on social media definitely had thoughts on the contentious exchange:
