Americans who still believe in a reality-based world are getting sick and tired of the left’s endless whining that practically everything is racist and with the media being among the chief culprits of promoting the divisive and tiresome narrative, the press has set itself up for some long-overdue blowback.

One publication that is being called out for its critical race theory malarkey is USA Today, one of the most circulated daily newspapers in the nation that, in a recent article, outlandishly suggested that mathematics education is partially responsible for keeping people of color down in a system where the deck is stacked against them at every level, a ridiculous assertion that has nonetheless become akin to gospel on the political left.

This week, USA Today was slammed over the story that was posted to Twitter and originally bore the headline, “Is math racist?” followed by “As many students of color struggle with the subject, schools are altering instruction — sometimes amid intense debate.”

The backlash was immediate and so intense that USA Today was shamed into altering its headline to read “Is math education racist? Debate rages over changes to how US teaches the subject.”

Among those who took to Twitter to drag USA Today was Peter Boghossian, a former philosophy professor at Portland State University who quit his job this year in protest of the school’s embrace of far-left ideology, announcing in a Substack post that “It has transformed a bastion of free inquiry into a Social Justice factory whose only inputs were race, gender, and victimhood and whose only outputs were grievance and division.”

“No, math is not racist. Major venues like @USATODAY even asking this question is a sign of cultural sickness,” he wrote. “Racial disparities can be addressed (in part) by using the best evidence-based pedagogical practices that enable student learning. Please stop suggesting math is racist.”

Others added their two cents.

The reaction to USA Today as well as the growing parental revolt against the radical leftist activists masquerading as teachers is a sign that America may finally have reached a level of peak “woke” and that the tide is turning against such lunacy.
