American podcast host Joe Rogan torched CNN on Friday, accusing the liberal network of being “leftwing propaganda” and its journalists as being “f**king propagandists.” The episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” occurred before the network fired its now-former anchor, Chris Cuomo.
Rogan withheld little in his criticism of the nation’s oldest cable news channel.
“I think CNN is realizing that their ratings are dogs—,” Rogan exclaimed, “and that having these highly polarizing editorial personalities like [Brian] Stelter and Don Lemon… I personally, maybe it’s just my bias, I want the news. I want objective news. I want someone to tell me what are the facts of what’s going on and what’s happening. I don’t want your ideological slant. I don’t want this left-wing propaganda network, which is what CNN has become.”
Rogan noted how the network has changed over the years.
“The way I look at CNN now is so different than the way I looked at CNN 15, 20 years ago. I used to look at them as this is how I get the news. This is unbiased, professional news. They’re going to tell me what’s happening in Pakistan and, you know, what’s happening in Mogadishu. These are the real journalists that are telling you the news,” Rogan explained. “Now I look at them, I go, ‘You f—ing propagandists, the right-arm of Pfizer. What are you doing?'”

“I think there’s a market for real news. And it’s really hard to find that now. It’s really hard, especially outside of independent sources,” Rogan lamented.
The podcast host has been in an ongoing feud with the cable news network since CNN falsely accused him of injecting himself with horse dewormer after he contracted COVID-19 earlier this year. Rogan revealed that he had taken an assortment of “meds,” including the experimental drug ivermectin, to treat the virus and several CNN anchors referred to it as “horse dewormer” and a “livestock drug.”
Rogan claimed it was a lie, invented from pure cloth, and he confronted CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta over that during an interview. According to Rogan, he took a doctor-prescribed human version of the drug ivermectin.
“Calling it a horse dewormer is not a flattering thing — I get that,” Gupta conceded.
“It’s a lie,” Rogan shot back.
“It’s a lie on a news network, and it’s a lie … that they’re conscious of. This is not a mistake. They’re unfavorably framing it as veterinarian medicine,” he added.
But rather than correct its coverage, CNN doubled down, refusing to apologize to Rogan for the obvious smears.
“The heart of this debate has been purposely confused and ultimately lost. It’s never been about livestock versus human dosage of Ivermectin,” a CNN spokesperson said to The Washington Post in a statement.
“The issue is that a powerful voice in the media, who by example and through his platform, sowed doubt in the proven and approved science of vaccines while promoting the use of an unproven treatment for covid-19 — a drug developed to ward off parasites in farm animals,” the CNN spokesman added. “The only thing CNN did wrong here was bruise the ego of a popular podcaster who pushed dangerous conspiracy theories and risked the lives of millions of people in doing so.”
