Former Trump administration COVID special advisor Dr. Scott Atlas spoke with Fox News host Steve Hilton on “The Next Revolution” about the hubris of Dr. Anthony Fauci once again declaring he is “science” when just the opposite appears to be the case.
“Let’s just start with that extraordinary statement from Fauci today. I mean, he said something like this before. What is your response when he’s out there absolutely directly saying “I am science?” Hilton asked Atlas, in regard to Fauci’s outrageous claim.
“You know, I sort of… I don’t know, I don’t know honestly how to react to someone who says “I am science.” I don’t think my personal reaction needs to be said because I think almost every sane person has the same reaction,” Atlas began.
“What I saw when I was in the White House was actually the opposite of that. What I saw from the medical people on the task force, Drs. Birx and Fauci and Redfield was something stunning. These are people with 40 years of government bureaucrat positions. They didn’t act, from what I saw, like scientists. Scientists do what I did, they bring in the scientific publications to the meetings. They cite the data. They go and criticize or critique the study. They make opinions inferring from good studies. They critique studies that weren’t done well,” he continued.
The absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science. It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity. https://t.co/rcDezphVRR

“What I saw was nothing like that. What I saw were very, uh, really sophomoric tabulations of cases which you could download from anywhere and then no response to anything I said that was based on any kind of scientific thing. It was all just sort of, ‘I’m an outlier’ sort of thing. So, it was stunning,” Atlas remarked.
“They advised the lockdowns and they got the lockdowns that they wanted. The lockdowns were implemented through almost the entire nation for a year and they failed to stop the spread of the infection. They failed to stop people from dying and they destroyed millions of people. And what is worse, if I may go on about these government bureaucrats, is that they were threatened by other input. This is not the behavior of a scientist,” he added.
“As you allude to, science is nothing without being challenged on your views and being able to debate the science of it rather than just proclaim it as you. And what I saw… I tried to give the president more information. I didn’t just bring in data, I brought in some of the nation’s top epidemiologists, infectious disease experts… the people doing the research on the pandemic from UCLA, Tuft’s Medical Center, Harvard, Stanford,” the doctor recounted.
“And this meeting that they had with the president in the Oval Office and with the vice president, as I outlined in the book, we scheduled it so Dr. Birx specifically could come, and then the day before, she refused to come. And then to the media, and even to the House of Representatives has complained that there were ‘parallel streams of information’ that she wasn’t aware of,” he stated.
“She wasn’t excluded from the meeting. She refused to come. Whether she was threatened, whether she felt she couldn’t stand up to people who were actually the experts doing the research, I’m not sure. I don’t want to speculate on her motivation except to say, it’s not the motivation of a knowledgeable scientist,” Atlas contended.
Atlas compared Fauci’s and the government’s reaction to the pandemic as being akin to “Orwell” or the “Mad Hatter.”
He has also previously remarked to Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria” that “science has become politicized,” and that the internal politics surrounding the pandemic are “destructive” and “there’s no transparency.”

Atlas stressed that, typically, mutations to a virus generally become less severe as they develop.
Hilton alluded to the fact that nothing has been learned by the Biden administration over all of this. Both Hilton and Atlas asserted that lockdowns don’t work and neither does the effort to incite panic.
Dr. Atlas has written a book entitled, “A Plague Upon Our House” that details many of his observations concerning Fauci and others and how the reaction to the pandemic evolved.
