In what is purportedly the culmination of a horrific alleged road-rage, hit-and run incident, a pregnant Florida librarian was shot and killed in her front yard by another motorist.

According to Orange County, Fla. police, Sara Nicole Morales, 35, was allegedly the aggressor in the still-under-investigation encounter on Saturday evening, November 20, that started when she allegedly hit a motorcycle operated by Andrew Derr with her blue Kia in a minor fender-bender or the equivalent.

Cops claim that Morales “intentionally” hit the biker.

Morales allegedly left the scene before cops arrived, however, and reportedly as a result, Derr and some other witnesses followed her to her home in the Daytona Beach area in Volusia County.

“Morales went into her house and re-emerged a short time later. Morales confronted the witnesses and Derr, as they were on the phone with 911. Morales pointed a handgun at the witnesses and Derr,” a law enforcement press release explained.

“Derr having a valid Florida Concealed weapons permit, drew his concealed handgun and fired multiple rounds, striking Morales. Morales’ handgun was recovered on-scene,” police said in the release. “Derr remained on scene and has been cooperating with law enforcement from the beginning. These facts have been established by independent interviews.”

On a dramatic 911 tape obtained by Fox 35 Orlando, the purported motorcyclist tells the dispatcher that “she tried to pull a gun on me,” after the victim apparently said, “You followed me to my house.” Shots fired can then be heard on the audio.

A purported witness on the 911 tape can also be heard saying, “The dude on the bike shot her.”

Watch/listen the report from Fox 35 and form your own conclusions:

First responders transported the victim, who was five months’ pregnant and was also the mom of an 11-year-old daughter, to a local hospital where she tragically died.

Cops and the Volusia County State’s Attorney Office are probing the incident. So far, no one has been charged.

Fox 35 also obtained footage from the body cam of one of the responding officers. Although with guns drawn, the cops calmly and professionally sized up the situation.

The purported motorcyclist complied with officers’ commands not to move and get on the ground while asking asked them not to shoot him.

“The girl tried to kill me; she pointed a gun at me,” he told the responding officers. “I’m so sorry; she tried to kill me,” he added.

Although it’s a bit difficult to hear, he also said something along the lines of “I didn’t do anything wrong; I was trying to defend myself.”

The biker claimed that there were other persons present who were armed.

Watch:

He separately told Fox 35 that he feels terrible about what happened, but believes he had no other choice.

“Detectives say they are still investigating, but they are treating this as a case of self defense. Neither Morales, nor the motorcyclist, have any previous local criminal history. Sara Morales worked for Volusia County as a library assistant,” NBC Orlando affiliate WESH noted.

“Why f——- follow her? Stay on the scene, get a description and plate of the car. The stupid m-f was waiting for a chance to use his gun, hence following the woman, wrong all around. Arrest the scumbag,” a Twitter user who disagreed with the initial law enforcement assessment insisted (edited for language).
