A professor who apparently specializes in yoga — yes, yoga — is allegedly forcing his students to list their so-called “gender pronouns” on their class assignments.

The professor allegedly doing this, Christopher Miller, teaches at Loyola Marymount University, a private Jesuit school based out of the den of far-left liberalism, Los Angeles.

“I added a new syllabus to Brightspace and the one major change we all need to take note of is that all are required to include their pronouns next to their name in their blog posts. I will count this toward your grade when I check for your name each time I grade the blog,” Miller wrote in a recent email to students, according to Fox News.

Fox News’ source for Miller’s email appears to be “Libs of Tik Tok,” a Twitter account that catalogs examples of left-wing radicalism, irrationality and insanity:

The account has earned enough credibility — unlike the made-up content sometimes trotted out by the establishment press, nothing that it’s shared appears to have ever been shown to be fraudulent — that popular podcast Joe Rogan follows them:

The email gave a shout-out to the school’s provost, whose name, though not included in the email itself, is Thomas Poon.

“Our own LMU Provost links this article in his own signature after he identifies his pronouns. For those who are not aware of why this is important, please take a few minutes to read this article,” the email reads.

It then links to some sort of blog which claims that assuming someone’s gender by appearances alone “sends a potentially harmful message.”

“Just as it can be offensive or even harassing to make up a nickname for someone and call them that nickname against their will, it can be offensive or harassing to guess at someone’s pronouns and refer to them using those pronouns if that is not how that person wants to be known,” the blog claims.

“Or, worse, actively choosing to ignore the pronouns someone has stated that they go by could imply the oppressive notion that intersex, transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people do not or should not exist,” it continues.

Some would argue that what’s truly “offensive” and perhaps even “oppressive” is denying the existence of biological reality.

Below is a screenshot of Miller’s university profile:

The profile notes that he teaches the following courses:

  • Hinduism, Jainism, and Yoga
  • Foundations of Yoga Studies (Residential)
  • Foundations of Yoga Studies (Hybrid Low Residential Cohort)
  • Haṭha-Yoga Texts
  • Sanskrit: The Yoga-Sūtra
  • Yoga Studies Writing and Research Seminar
  • History of Modern Yoga
  • Yoga Studies Comprehensive Exam Seminar

Despite clearly being extremely “woke,” it seems Miller isn’t aware that he’s engaging in what the “woke” community calls “cultural appropriation.”

After all, he appears to be white, yet he’s teaching about other cultures. In fact, according to some “woke” ideologues, this may even make him a white supremacist.

There’s a reason why a growing number of Americans view “wokeness” as regressive and irrational. From denying biological science to demonizing the melting of cultures, “wokeness” seems like the antithesis to truth and actual progress.

Speaking of which, it appears that Loyola Marymount University is itself “woke.” Just this Friday, the university used its official Twitter account to proudly promote a segregated so-called “Black Student Space.”

Look:

Like other “woke” entities, it appears the school and its students are also zealously pro-mask, as evidenced by the following videos showing students masking outdoors:

Loyola Marymount University is not the first “woke” university, nor will it likely be the last. But it’s certainly yet another example of why a group of classically liberal thinkers is out to create their own brand new university, the University of Austin.
