Winsome Sears makes first mark as Virginia’s black bada** female lieutenant governor

Tuesday’s wipeout of Democrats in deep blue Virginia not only sent a message to the party that there will be a price to pay for its extremist agenda but also made history with the election of the state’s first black female lieutenant governor.

Former Marine Winsome Sears defeated her Democrat opponent Hala Ayala, becoming the highest-ranking person of color to be elected to office in the state, and delivering a blow to the false narrative already being promoted that governor-elect Glenn Youngkin’s win can be attributed to white supremacy.

Sears’ historic victory was the icing on the cake in the Commonwealth clobbering in which Republicans stand ready to sweep all races in the off-year election that was seen as a bellwether for 2022 and beyond, as well as a referendum on President Joe Biden who easily won the state in 2020.

Sears, who immigrated from Jamaica with her father, will join Youngkin in restoring normalcy to a state that has been ravaged by leftist policies. She responded to her win in a fiery speech, blasting Democrats for their use of race to pit Americans against one another for political gain.

“There are some who want to divide us and we must not let that happen.” she said. “They would like us to believe that we are back in 1963 when my father came. We can live where we want, we can eat where we want, we own the water fountains.

“We have had a black president elected not once, but twice,” a reference to Barack Obama who campaigned for the defeated Terry McAuliffe, “and here I am, living proof.”

“In case you haven’t noticed, I am black and I have been black all my life,” she added, “but that’s not what this is about.”

Prior to her big win, Sears appeared on “Fox & Friends First” on Tuesday where she called out Democrats for their manipulation of black voters, a cynical strategy.

“This is what the Democrats do over and over again,” she said. “They come into the black community and they try to gin up our anger over some supposed threat or some supposed slight, and then we’re supposed to run out and vote for them because they’re coming to save us.”

The racial grievance grifters didn’t react positively to Sears’ making of history with some completely ignoring her by smearing white suburban voters as racists.

Wajahat Ali of the far-left Daily Beast was blasted on Twitter for his asinine opinion.

There were so many exploding heads at MSNBC that a wet mop cleanup was likely necessary after the network wrapped its coverage of what may turn out to be the beginning of the end of Democrat dreams of a permanent one-party government.

Other reactions from Twitter.

Whether the walloping in Virginia will serve as a wake-up call to Democrats that using race as a bludgeon to achieve political outcomes is eventually going to result in blowback is yet to be seen, but any major course correction is probably unlikely given the vigor with which Biden has embraced his role as race-baiter in chief.
