FN's Lisa Boothe pans Biden's 85-vehicle motorcade as hypocrisy from 'limousine liberals' who only care about virtue signaling

President Biden was in Rome on Friday to meet with the Pope ahead of the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference, in Glasgow, Scotland, but for a world leader so keen on peddling his green agenda, his 85 vehicle motorcade seemed hypocritical.

Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe called Biden a “limousine liberal” on “The Big Saturday Show,” when speaking about the parade of cars the President brought with him through the streets of Rome.

“The issue of climate change is a limousine liberal issue. The Republican Party has turned into the party for the American worker, and Democrats are the party for coastal elites. This issue alone underscores that point,” Boothe argued.

Biden isn’t the only Democrat deserving of the title. Boothe recalled when Democrat darling and one of the faces of the Green New Deal, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), illegally parked her $59,000 Tesla outside of a Whole Foods.

The President’s own climate czar, John Kerry, “exclusively flies private” Boothe noted.

“These are limousine liberal issues…the impact of all of it is that it hurts hardworking Americans the most…Their prices go up, they lose their job, and if Democrats actually cared about emissions, they would look towards things like natural gas, nuclear power as well,” the Fox News contributor stated.

Boothe maintains that for Democrats like Biden, AOC and Kerry, climate change isn’t an issue they actually plan to address.

“They don’t care about this issue, they don’t care about emissions, all they care about is virtue-signaling to their other limousine liberal friends, and that’s what it’s about,” Boothe explained.

Fox News contributor Tyrus noted that the Biden administration will generate 2.2 million pounds of carbon on their Europe trip.

Panelist Sean Duffy pointed out that that’s just one of the perks of being a liberal elite– for people like Joe Biden, Bill Gates, Barack Obama and John Kerry– their carbon emissions are an exception to climate mandates. As if the emissions from their private planes, multiple cars and 85 vehicle motorcade don’t count the way regular Americans’ emissions do.

“It’s the climate crisis for yee, but not for me kinda deal,” Duffy said.

“This is hypocrisy to the teeth. They want to impose all these rules on all of us. What gets me is earlier this week, there was a House hearing by Democrats. They brought in all the big energy executives and they’re bashing them about their oil production and climate change,” Duffy described, “Every single one of them fly on airplanes, they drive cars, they heat their homes, they turn on their lights. All of them use energy and they’re bashing every single one of the energy executives who actually produce the energy that make their lives work, that make Americans happy with their lives.”

“This stupidity has to end,” Duffy told the panel.

Jackie DeAngelis, another panelist, pondered why Biden couldn’t apply “more pressure” to serial polluters like China and India who hold the title of biggest polluters in the world.

Biden, whose frequent foreign policy failures have become apparent on the world stage, instead opted to eliminate America’s energy independence, fund subsidies for electric vehicles that benefit the wealthy, and stuff other heavy-handed government climate mandates into a massive tax and spend package known as reconciliation.

DeAngelis points out that AAA’s national average price for a gallon of gas was $3.40 Saturday, compared to $2.14 only a year ago. Oil prices have hit a seven-year high of about $85 per barrel after having been sub-$50 “for the longest time,” she said.

The liberal elites won’t have to transform their lives or change their habits to meet Biden’s proposed climate standards. They can continue living the high life while hardworking Americans foot the bill and suffer the consequences of these regulations.
