The ongoing humanitarian catastrophe at the border that is a result of President Joe Biden’s failed immigration policies has resulted in shock and outrage after video footage of thousands of refugees near Del Rio, Texas exposed the lack of leadership in Washington, D.C.
Moving quickly to protect the nation’s 46th president from the political fallout, the narrative engineers in the media unleashed a racially charged disinformation campaign, claiming that Border Patrol agents were using whips to round up errant Haitian immigrants, a blatant falsehood that nonetheless was promoted by the White House.
During Monday’s press briefing, press secretary Jen Psaki responded to questions from the tag team of reporters led by Yamiche Alcindor of PBS about the grossly misleading images that have triggered the left, lending credence to the reports that conjured the dark overtones of slavery that liberals have successfully exploited to silence critics and advance their agenda.
Psaki initially hedged, responding that she had not seen the “full context.”
PBS's Yamiche Alcindor, CNN's April Ryan, and McClatchy's Bryan Lowry freak out at Jen Psaki over how the U.S. border officials are the REAL bad guys in this border crisis b/c of video they claim shows them riding horseback to corral Haitians and using whips pic.twitter.com/Eb31jOek1p

When asked by Alcindor if the agents who were “seemingly using whips” would face disciplinary action, Psaki replied, “I mean, Yamiche, it’s all good questions. We just saw this footage. It’s horrible to watch. I just have to get more information on it.”
Alcindor’s reporting for “PBS NewsHour” relies heavily on the accounts of activists, hardly unbiased observers of the situation on the ground.
“Now, I should also note that there are human rights activists who say that sending people back into Haiti, a country that is facing so many crises, from gang violence to, of course, the aftermath of the assassination of the president and the aftermath of the earthquake, that it is simply not the right thing to do,” she reported.
Alcindor added, “One activist put it this way. She told me: “Sending people back into Haiti is like sending children into a burning house.”
My latest reporting on the Haitian migrants at the Texas border.
One activist told me deporting people back to Haiti is “inhumane” and is like “dropping children into a burning home.”
The WH press secretary told me border agents should never again use whips on migrants. 👇🏾 https://t.co/RRJXrGGlNM

Some, including the National Fraternal Order Of Police, the largest police organization in the U.S. were quick to point out that the “whips” were actually the reins used with the horses, but the purveyors of fake news in the activist media weren’t about to let the truth spoil their sensationalism.
For all you Twitter warriors out there: these are NOT whips. And no, Border Patrol agents are NOT "whipping" people.
They are REINS… Stay with us here, like a steering wheel is used to drive a car, the reins are used to “drive” the horse.

Others on Twitter who have grown accustomed to such fibs from the media flogged Alcindor for her suggestion that CBP was whipping the Haitians.
Why are there 15000 Haitian refugees piled up at one spot on the border at one time? How did they get there? Who paid for them to get there? Who directed them there? Why didn’t Mexico do anything? Is it their policy to just let migrants travel freely in groups of 15000?

“One activist…” Oh, and there weren’t any whips, Ace. Now keep up the good work.

Someone should tell you they’re reins, not whips.

Yamiche, why are no reporters asking why Haitian migrants are coming in through Texas? Wouldn‘t entry through Florida make more sense? Who is paying for their flights over if they have no money?

What do you expect an “activist” to say? In reality, deporting Haitians is the absolutely right thing to do if we want to remain a sovereign country

Meanwhile, Biden’s border czar Vice President Kamala Harris, who has done nothing to mitigate the immigration disaster since she was put in charge of overseeing the situation, chimed in.

While the Biden administration has been an unmitigated dumpster fire, no institution has failed America more than the media.
