American Airlines reportedly escorted a woman and her 2-year-old asthmatic son off a flight and into the hands of the police because the child had difficulty wearing a mask, despite the child having tested negative for COVID a day earlier.

The incident involving mother Amanda Pendarvis and her son happened during a Monday flight from Dallas to Colorado Springs.

The incident — one of many that have been reported by parents across the country — was documented in live videos recorded by Pendarvis and shared to Instagram Stories.

Some — though not all — of the videos were later compiled by her supporters and then circulated throughout all of social media.

Watch the compilation below:

The videos contain captions describing what transpired.

“I was not refusing a mask, nor did I even say I wouldn’t try to keep a mask on my son. We were escorted off the plane as I was holding a mask over his little face. I genuinely don’t have words,” the first set of captions read.

They go on to sarcastically praise a flight attendant named Carl for taking a stance and getting “this monster off the plane.”

“He got on the intercom to say to the entire plane ‘I’m sorry for the delay but we are dealing with a non-compliant traveler.’ … Thank you for your bravery. Carl on Flight AA 1284. Really took a stance and got this monster off the plane,” the captions read.

In additional Instagram Stories that were not included in the compilation, the mother described the incident as “the most humiliating/traumatising experience.”

“He had the plane turned around and had us escorted off to be met by police officers. Why? Wait for it … because my two-year-old was not properly wearing a mask,” she wrote, as reported by Meaww.

“Mind you, Way is asthmatic. We had showed [the flight attendant] a negative Covid test Way had yesterday. Told him he has asthma and has never worn a mask before. He did not care that this asthmatic child was literally hyperventilating,” she added.

American Airlines has basically confirmed that all this really happened.

“Initial reports indicate the party refused to comply with crew member instructions to remain seated and wear a face mask securely over their nose and mouth. After agreeing to adhere to federal face-covering requirements, all individuals were rebooked for travel on the next flight to Colorado Springs (COS),” a spokesperson told The Daily Dot.

The spokesperson also reportedly “cited directives from” the Biden administration that require children as young as two years of age to mask up.

Tiger Lily, a close friend of Pendarvis who helped spread the word about what’d happened, was left laughing uncontrollably in exasperation by the unapologetic statement:

“Incredible” was how she described it.

According to a ballooning army of angry critics, what the statement truly amounts to is proof that it’s time to “stop flying” and “stop giving these maniacs your money.”

A nationwide mask mandate has been in effect since practically the day Democrat President Joe Biden took office months ago and is slated to remain in effect until Jan. 18th of next year at the earliest.
