Instead of joining President Joe Biden and other Democrats for what has been described as a “political photo op” at Ground Zero, former President Donald Trump honor commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks by paying a surprise visit to the city’s men and women in uniform.

The former president specifically made a visit to New York City’s 17th precinct police station and nearby fire department to speak with some of the first responders who’d actually experienced the Sept. 11 terror attacks firsthand.

And from the looks and sounds of it, they greatly appreciated his larger-than-life presence and kind words.

Watch:

His surprise visit came as left-wing activists and their media allies were busy lambasting him for not attending the name-reading ceremony at Ground Zero alongside Biden and former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama.

Some also falsely suggested the former president would be spending all day at a boxing match, when in reality the boxing match he was set to host was scheduled for late that evening, i.e., around the time that Biden would likely be fast asleep.

See the caustic, disingenuous criticism below:

During his visit with the city’s finest, Trump was asked about the prospects of running for office again in 2024. His answer didn’t disappoint.

“That’s a tough question. Actually, for me it’s an easy question. I know what I’m going to do, but we are not supposed to be talking about it yet from the standpoint of campaign finance laws, which frankly are ridiculous,” he replied.

“You want to know the truth, but we have to live with it. But I think you are going to be happy. Let me put it that way. I think you are going to be very happy.”

He went on to slam the current president for his “gross incompetence” excess of failures both domestically and abroad, particularly in Afghanistan.

Listen:

After the former president’s visits, his supporters noted how he’d commemorated the Sept. 11 attacks by visiting “with the blue-collar men and women that were the real heroes of that day” versus gathering “with the elite ruling class.”

That, they surmised, was why the media were so “big mad.”

Left-wing activists were even angrier, to the point that they began demanding that a firefighter who’d been seen wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat while posing alongside the former president be fired and lose his livelihood.

Look:

Some of these “idiots,” as the far-left calls them, may have very well been first responders during the Sept. 11 attacks. But apparently, that doesn’t matter.

As for the Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort fight that Trump hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, much later that evening, it appears attendees also greatly appreciated his presence.
