California Gov. Gavin Newsom appears to have all the worst people in American politics urging the public to not recall him, including as of Wednesday former Democrat President Barack Hussein Obama.
Early Wednesday evening, the former president posted a tweet demanding voters vote “no” on recalling the radically far-left governor.
“California! You’ve got a big choice to make by September 14, and everything is on the line. Your vote could be the difference between protecting our kids or putting them at risk; helping Californians recover or taking us backwards. Vote ‘no’ on the Republican recall,” he tweeted.

If Obama believes voting for recalling Newsom means taking the state “backwards,” then he must conversely believe that the governor’s policies have taken the state forward.
Yet under Newsom’s “soft on crime” policies, crime has skyrocketed, according to Los Angeles Police Protective League vice president Sgt. Jerretta Sandoz.
“Crime is increasing. It is surging, and there’s no consequences. There’s no repercussions for these criminals that feel that they could go in and do what they want. And it’s because of these laws,” she bluntly said during an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” two months ago.
Unemployment has also skyrocketed. As of July, California had the 4th highest unemployment rate in the country, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The troublingly high unemployment rate is a consequence of both the governor’s draconian lockdown policies and also his support of AB5.
Signed into law in 2018 as a means to try and force Uber and Lyft to hire their contractors — a move that would benefit Democrats’ union friends — AB5 essentially outlawed freelance/contractor work.
Uber and Lyft managed to survive AB5 because they had the money and power to sue for exemptions. Others were left without this benefit.
“This had the unintended effect of preventing all sorts of people who choose to do contract work from being able to earn a living,” the Competitive Enterprise Institute reported in May of 2020.
“These people include actors, filmmakers, artisans, translators, photographers, musicians, and freelance writers and journalists, among many others. That number has only swelled since the COVID-19 virus put the state in lockdown and forced many people to try to work online,” it added.
Those affected by the law have begged and begged and begged for Newsom to repeal it, but he doesn’t seem to care.

#askacalifornian & see for yourself how #AB5, the ugly cousin of #ProAct, killed thousands of freelancers & small businesses, thanks to the misguided #ABCtest that nobody wanted/needed. Unionization should be voluntary, not forced. #freedomforfreelancers #NoABCforUSA #AB5stories

Apparently, Obama doesn’t care either.
The former president also recorded a promotional video for the governor.
“Hello Californians. You’ve got a big choice to make by Sept. 14th. Gov. Newsom has spent the past year and a half protecting California communities. Now Republicans are trying to recall him from office and overturn common-sense COVID safety measures for healthcare workers and school staff,” he says in the video.
“Your vote could be the difference between protecting our kids and putting them at risk, helping Californians recover or taking them backwards. Protect Californians by voting ‘no’ on the Republican recall,” he adds.

Obama neglected to mention that Newsom has flagrantly violated virtually every single COVID restriction that he’s imposed on his constituents.
The former president has himself shown an indifference toward COVID mandates, as if he and other Democrat elites are above everybody else and thus not obliged to abide by the same rules and laws forced upon the proletariat.
And like Newsom, Obama has displayed zero remorse over his blatant violations of COVID restrictions.
In related news, he’s also yet to express remorse over reports that some of the Islamic terrorists he’d set free in exchange for convicted deserter Bowe Bergdahl in 2014 now boast top positions in the Taliban-run government of Afghanistan.
“Bowe Bergdahl pleaded guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy and now four out of the five Gitmo detainees who were exchanged for Bergdahl, they are in leadership positions now atop the new Taliban government,” Fox News host Sean Hannity revealed Thursday.
Speaking on Fox News’ “Hannity,” the host blamed this on both Obama and his partner in crime, current President Joe Biden.
“During his announcement speech, then-candidate Trump predicted that this Bergdahl/Taliban prisoner swap … would end in a disaster. We’re seeing the devastating consequences of [the] incompetence,” he continued.
“Biden vacationed while Afghanistan collapsed, American military equipment was plundered, and now America weeps over the lives sacrificed due to Biden’s surrender,” the host added.
Meanwhile, it would seem both Biden and Obama are too busy campaigning for one of the worst-performing governors in America to care …
