Taliban paints humiliating murals on former U.S. embassy in Afghanistan. Thanks, Joe Biden.

As President Joe Biden’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan comes to an end after 20 years, the Taliban is declaring victory and humiliating him by painting Taliban flags on the blockades in front of the former U.S. embassy.

A week previously, men were selling Taliban flags outside the entrance to the embassy. Now, huge murals depicting the terrorist logo are proudly and victoriously displayed in front of what was once American ground.

Emma Graham-Harrison, who is a writer for The Guardian, tweeted a photo of the new painting of the Taliban flag, stating, “Entrance to the (former?) US embassy in Kabul today. Murals freshly painted over with a giant Taliban flag.”

Fox News also obtained a photo of another Taliban flag which was tweeted by a user on Twitter named DLS, “Taliban flag painted outside former US embassy in Kabul, photo shows. Thanks Joe Biden!”

A number of murals have adorned the walls of the embassy in the past.

In a Twitter post on May 27, 2019, the U.S. Embassy Kabul proudly announced, “#Afghanistan & USA have shared a close friendship for almost 100 years. In 2016, Public Affairs Officer Terry Davidson and Cultural Affairs Officer Stephanie Kuck help the non-profit group ArtLords paint a mural at the embassy walls.”

Another mural that graced the walls of the embassy previously featured a painting of a U.S. Black Hawk helicopter dangling a giant red heart.

The murals became more darkly political as the deadline for evacuation approached. Below is another mural that was previously featured on the U.S. embassy wall that stated, “The problem with foreign policy: most of it is a facade. #Kabul mural outside the US embassy compound. A video that was shared on social media last week according to The Guardian appeared to show a Taliban victory parade taking place in Kandahar, featuring seized American weaponry, military equipment, and explosives as well as members of the terrorists’ suicide bomb squad.

As the American embassy was shuttered and rebranded, China’s embassy remains open and received praise from the Taliban.

The Taliban stated on Friday that China has pledged to keep its embassy in Afghanistan open and that they will “beef up” relations within the country.

Suhail Shaheen, who is a spokesman for the Islamist militia, said that a senior member of the Taliban’s political office in Qatar was informed by Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao that Beijing wishes to increase humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.

“The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister said that they would maintain their embassy in Kabul, adding our relations would beef up as compared to the past,” Shaheen claimed. “Afghanistan can play an important role in security and development of the region.”

He ironically noted, “China will also continue and increase its humanitarian assistance especially for treatment of COVID-19.”

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid addressed potential Chinese investment in Afghanistan as well.

“China is our most important partner and represents a fundamental and extraordinary opportunity for us, because it is ready to invest [in] and rebuild our country,” he said according to the South China Morning Post.
