President Joe Biden’s falsehoods have grown in frequency so much that even CNN, a site prone to defending him at any cost, has had to admit to them. The White House meanwhile has had to “clarify” his latest lie.

During a virtual event Thursday to mark the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Days, the president claimed he’d visited the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh following the Oct. 27th, 2018 mass shooting by an antisemite.

“I remember spending time at the — you know, going to the — you know, the Tree of Life Synagogue, speaking with the — just — it just is amazing these things are happening, happening in America,” he said.

Listen:

But it was either a blatant lie, a gross exaggeration or just a senior moment.

“Biden’s claim about ‘spending time at’ and ‘going to’ Tree of Life is false; he did not go to the synagogue,” a fact-check from CNN of all outlets reads.

Indeed, in a statement to the New York Post, Tree of Life executive director Barb Feige “said that Biden did not visit the synagogue in the nearly three years since the anti-Semitic attack.”

All he did at best was reportedly give the synagogue’s rabbi a ring a year after the shooting to, it would appear, promote his candidacy for president.

“President Biden kindly called me on my cell phone as I was sitting in Dulles Airport awaiting a return flight to Pittsburgh after I testified before Congress in July 2019. In a heartfelt way, he extended his condolences and asked how we were doing,” Tree of Life Rabbi Hazzan Jeffrey Myers reportedly said in a statement.

We spoke about the challenges of antisemitism, and he made clear he would confront it with us as president. The conversation meant a great deal to me, and I will always be grateful for his kind words and continued support of our community,” the rabbi added.

Despite Myers’ kind words, even CNN was quick to note that making a phone call isn’t the same thing as “spending time” with someone.

“Biden told Jewish leaders, and the members of the public who watched the event, that he had actually gone to the synagogue and spent time there. A phone call is not the same thing,” CNN’s brutal fact-check reads.

“And if he had meant to correct his talk of ‘spending time at’ and ‘going to’ the synagogue by adding the part about ‘speaking with’ someone, he could have made that clear,” it adds.

Ouch.

The White House has, for its part, tried to deflect from the president’s falsehoods by claiming he’d been talking about the phone call with Myers all along.

“A White House official who spoke on condition of anonymity said Friday that this call is what Biden was referring to in his Thursday comments,” according to CNN.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, CNN’s reporting has been ratioed into oblivion by leftists outraged that they would dare hold Biden accountable for a single thing (while simultaneously holding his water on so much else).

Look:

These sycophants likely giggled in glee whenever CNN “fact-checked” former President Donald Trump, even when those “fact-checks” were frequently dubious at best.

Notice how one of them wrote, “Not sure I care whether he remembers being there or not. Anyone at his age is always forgetting something.”

It’s certainly possible that the president simply had a senior moment, but the problem then would be that he’s had many, many, many senior moments in the past few months.

In fact, he’s had several this week alone:

While this may not concern those who worship at the Biden’s altar, it certainly does concern everybody else who’s stuck having to trust this senior citizen with their safety and well-being.
