Ingraham calls on US leaders to put Americans first: You don’t have to go to Afghanistan to see human tragedy

On Wednesday’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News Channel, host Laura Ingraham said she believes it’s time that leaders put the interests of Americans first.

“Our elites in politics and the media really want you to know they care deeply about the Afghan people. So much that they want to bring as many Afghans here to the United States as possible,” she said.

Taking aim at the D.C. establishment and the various swamp creatures that live under the dome of elitism, she pointed out the absence of concern for the well-being of Americans, considering the number and density of problems we need to confront here at home.

“You don’t have to go to the Afghan provinces near Bagram to see human tragedy, you can see it not far from here in Baltimore,” Ingraham continued. “You don’t need to go to Khandahar to see thousands living in constant fear of violence, you can go to Chicago to see that.”

Notably, she put up a graphic that showed that in Chicago there are currently 117,000 known gang members, but only 13,000 police offers. Not surprising. Who would want to join any police force in a Democrat-run metropolis?

“Why aren’t we more shocked? Why aren’t we demanding a response to the gangs and cartels, the opioids terrorizing neighborhoods right here at home?” she asked rhetorically.

Ingraham claimed violence from the Taliban should be expected because they are an “Islamic fundamentalist extremist cult” but wondered what the United States excuse was. So many leftists in both politics and media bloviate over problems they need to remain problems so they have a purpose in life, and they constantly congratulate themselves for being the most compassionate among us.

But they have no love for the average American. A glance at the southern border will tell you how much they care about the citizens of the U.S. For the elite, whose lives are never affected by the policies they impose on Americans any refugee is a good refugee.

“The more folks from other countries who can come here, the better. Even if we can’t really vet them, even if they become wards of the state, even if they bring in more crime, more violence.. to the left, to the open borders establishment, they’re better than the old normal.”

“America’s first promise is to her own citizens,” she declared.

The host then presented her assessment of the dire situation for the Right, and listed six ways conservatives can regain power.

She said Republicans must resist massive Democrat spending and acknowledge the power that states have in upholding freedom. They must also protect the southern border, fight inflation and push for the energy independence we once had under Trump.

Finally, she added, Republicans need to try to win every state (Reagan won 49 in 1984) and stop conceding blue states with no contest while trying to turn a few purple states red.

It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for ’em …

Ingraham then channeled former-President Ronald Reagan, concluding, “The time is right to our religious freedom, to take our message of freedom and prosperity to the voters on the two coasts, and to the inner cities you bet they have to hear our message too. People are suffering there from incompetent leadership.”

“If we must live through a repeat of the 1970s with Biden, let’s try to follow it with a repeat of the 1980s.”
