The left will not give up on the “For the People Act,” because they know the so-called voter rights bill will all but assure one-party rule for decades — for Democrats.
In furtherance of that quest, they continue to push the myth of voter suppression in America, falsely claiming that the right to vote for people of color is under attack at a time when access to the ballot box has never been greater – a claim that comes with the full confidence of the national media being on board.
This is where Eric Holder comes into play. The left-wing ideologue who once said “when they go low, we kick them,” the man who protected Barack Obama’s backside as the former president’s attorney general, is calling for people to take to the streets in the mythical “fight for fairness.”
The call coming as the media and the Biden White House hyperventilate of the delta variant surge, as they make a mad dash toward vaccine mandates.
Appearing on MSNBC, Holder was doing a whole lot of projecting when he laughably claimed that Republicans “have to cheat to win” elections as he talked about getting the results the Democratic Party is “entitled to.”
“You know, that’s the beauty of the position that Democrats have. If we fight for fairness, if we make sure that we get the number of seats that we are entitled to, both in the state legislature as well as the House of Representatives on the basis of fair criteria, Democrats and progressives will do just fine,” he said. “Republicans have to cheat to win.”
The chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee pointed to several southern states where Republicans do well, naming Texas, Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina.
“We’ll bring lawsuits if we have to do that,” Holder said, adding that “there’s no need for Democrats to do anything other than to fight for that which is fair.”
“We don’t have to cheat. Republicans have to cheat in order to win, and that’s why they are in favor of partisan and racial gerrymandering,” he continued. “They know that if substantial numbers of people vote in this increasingly younger, increasingly more diverse, increasingly less rural America that they don’t stand a chance of winning. They get that. They understand that.”
Host Rachel Maddow talked about the expectation of “civil disobedience” in the left’s quest for one-party rule.
“We’re expecting this summer of direct action on voting rights to accelerate to where there will be considerable civil disobedience outside the White House, people trying to set off a moral alarm here,” she said.
Sounding like a labor union chief, Holder replied, “Power concedes nothing without demand. We too often underestimate the power we have as regular American citizens by marching, by protesting, by raising our voices. That’s a really important part of the thing that I’m leading, the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. We have a big advocacy campaign to get American citizens involved in this fight. If we make our voices known if we demand the kind of change, the fair change we’re seeking, I think it will help in the process.”
He spoke about “raising the consciousness of people by demonstrating, by getting arrested, by doing the things that ended segregation.”
Just as the media ignores the Biden super-spreader event on the southern border with Mexico, where the White House is importing thousands of cases of COVID-19 into the U.S. on a regular basis, it is certain that thousands taking to the streets in protest will get a pass — just look to last year’s Black Lives Matter riots.
“We shouldn’t lose faith right now. We shouldn’t lose faith. Citizens can make a change. Citizens need to be in the streets. Citizens need to be demonstrating. Citizens need to be calling their representatives to demand the kind of change that will make our democracy more fair,” Holder said.
