John Legend’s tweet aged so very badly after he partied at Obama’s birthday bash

A recent COVID tweet by Singer John Legend is coming back to haunt him and is not aging well after he and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, attended former President Barack Obama’s 60th birthday bash unmasked.

“Public service announcement! We were so happy to announce new tour dates today! The tour moves to mostly indoor venues as we get further into fall though. Please keep in mind that the Delta variant of Covid 19 is highly transmissible and doesn’t give a sh*t about our fun plans!” Legend announced to his fans last week.

“Being unvaccinated and/or unmasked at a large indoor gathering is like literally begging to get COVID. Please don’t do that to yourself, your family or your neighbors,” the singer hypocritically tweeted on August 2, 2021.

Although Obama’s party organizers claim that the event was held outside, it was primarily held in a massive tent with no social distancing or mask-wearing of any kind. Attendees were required to show a negative COVID test and, although they were urged to get vaccinated, it was not required. Hundreds of guests mingled inside and out before, during, and after the festivities.

“This outdoor event was planned months ago in accordance with all public health guidelines and with COVID safeguards in place. Due to the new spread of the Delta variant over the past week, the President and Mrs. Obama have decided to significantly scale back the event to include only family and close friends,” a statement read ahead of the bash. “President Obama is appreciative of others sending their birthday wishes from afar and looks forward to seeing people soon.”

Legend and Alicia Keys both sang “Happy Birthday!” to Obama at the crowded A-lister event on Saturday. The gathering was scaled back somewhat but was still a monstrous event.

Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen left the party at Obama’s $12 million mansion just before midnight allegedly to avoid traffic and to get back to their children.

The couple was among a very select list of celebrities and elitists who attended the party. The wealthy and famous partied with no worries about the unmasked or unvaccinated it would seem.

Teigen posted photos of her wearing a flowing white dress as she glided down a staircase before heading to the party.

Legend, his wife, children, their puppy, and nannies were also seen strolling through Edgartown in Martha’s Vineyard unmasked without a care in the world. It was truly a “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” photo-op.

Helicopters and private jets swooped down onto the island to unload the chosen ones who graced Obama’s celebration. Jay-Z and Beyonce remained on the scaled-back guest list, while David Axelrod, Larry David, David Letterman, and Conan O’Brien were reportedly cut. Only the currently famous, wealthiest, and most upper-crust were in attendance. The guest list was telling.

Don Cheadle, comedian Stephen Colbert, and Al Sharpton were there. Steven Spielberg was on the list, as were Bruce Springsteen and George Clooney. The delta variant did not dissuade Hollywood and D.C. from attending the meat-free event.

Photos were banned but leaked to social media anyway.

“There are a lot of people here for the event,” noted Richard Taylor, a summer resident who writes a column for the Black Oak Bluffs section of Martha’s Vineyard for the Vineyard Gazette. “I’m sure they’ll be hosting smaller groups.”

“He has 20-plus acres of land, and everyone was going to be outside,” he stated. “You’re dealing with a sophisticated crowd. I think the concerns were a bit overblown.”

People were disgusted by Legend’s hypocrisy:
