Anti-vax marchers scuffled with London police today as they apparently tried to storm a British Broadcasting Corporation studio subsidiary.
A group known as Official Voice, which reportedly opposes lockdowns, vaccine passports, and injecting minors with the experimental COVID-19 medicine, is said to have organized the protest.
While the demonstrators may have been trying to make a statement about top-down, pro-vaccine media bias, they might have shown up at the wrong address. Or perhaps the event was more about symbolism and/or awareness.
Either way, the group which was mostly dressed in black was met with a heavy police presence, and no one got inside as police pushed them back.
Upon selling the property, the BBC moved most of its productions out of what’s still known as Television Centre about eight years ago.
Although protesters are being mocked for this apparent miscue, BBC Studioworks still operates three TV studios at the west London location, however.
“Clashing with police outside White City Studios – which the BBC vacated in 2013, and has since been turned into luxury flats and commercial spaces – the mob demanded the government stop the potential vaccination of children, railed against lockdowns, and screamed ‘f*ck your masks,’ the U.K. political blog Guido Fawkes explained about who it characterized as “anti-vax loons.”
“Protesters begin to shout ‘shame on you, shame on you’, with one giving a speech, accusing the corporation of ‘not giving out the right information’ and claiming “they are coming for our f****** children,'” the Independent news outlet reported.

A London police spokesperson gave an update to the Independent:
“We are aware of a group of demonstrators who, having set off from Shepherds Bush Green shortly after 13:00hrs, are now gathered outside commercial premises in Wood Lane, White City. There have been no arrests but officers are in attendance and will continue to monitor the situation.”
This protest, which is not a one-off, occurred in a country where the political and media establishment primarily speak with one voice about the COVID response as evidenced by this tweet from Andrew Neil, the chairman of the right-of-center GB News.
Anti-vaxxers protest BBC coverage of pandemic by storming a building in White City. A building the BBC vacated in 2013 and is now luxury flats. Is there a link between stupidity and anti-vax? Opinions vary but evidence is growing …

However, massive grassroots protests have occurred, for example, in London, Paris, and elsewhere in Europe, and in Australia.
Citizens are taking to the streets in mostly peaceful protests to register opposition to vaccine passports, further lockdowns, and other infringements on what they consider individual freedom and choice.

Britain has experienced a 15 percent increase in COVID-positive tests in recent days.
“Professor Paul Hunter, an infectious disease expert at the University of East Anglia, warned the numbers…will ‘remain high for our lifetimes.’ He suggested the UK should start to care only about hospitalization figures, which will peter out to ‘very low numbers’ in the next stage of the epidemic,” the Daily Mail reported.
In the meantime, vaccine hesitancy has reportedly dropped substantially, particularly in the age 30 or younger demographic.
