Bongino and Geraldo get in VICIOUS showdown over COVID: ‘I’m embarrassed to be on air with you!’

Fox News contributors Dan Bongino and Geraldo Rivera escalated their ongoing feud Thursday during “Hannity,” talking over one another and tearing into each other over illegal immigration, COVID vaccinations, and Florida’s handling of the pandemic.

The segment was exceedingly heated with Rivera constantly interrupting and attempting to prove he had the upper hand. It all started with a discussion concerning President Joe Biden “pushing to ramp up restrictions, mandates, vaccine mandates, mask mandates, shutdown mandates” onto the American public.

Sean Hannity asked why the White House is allowing unvaccinated illegal immigrants to cross into the United States. “He’s a jackass for doing it,” the Fox News host said referring to President Biden.

That’s when Rivera started the throwdown by stating that he wanted legal and illegal immigrants to be vaccinated. He also proclaimed he believes in vaccine mandates and passports.

The argument quickly morphed into one on COVID vaccinations, especially concerning Florida, which Rivera latched onto. He asserted, “On Tuesday in Florida, there were over 16,000 new COVID infections. Yesterday, Wednesday, in Florida, there were nearly 17,000 new–”

Hannity was adamant in his defense of Governor Ron DeSantis and how he has handled the pandemic in Florida. He contends the blame for all of this mess lies directly with Biden.

“Ron DeSantis saved every older person,” exclaimed Hannity. “He used every state agency. No, this is not ‘bash Ron DeSantis.’ A lot of these cases are coming here because of Joe.”

“This has nothing to do with Joe,” declared Rivera.

“Oh yes it does,” insisted Hannity.

Bongino then proceeded to smack Rivera for not knowing the actual statistics. That’s when all hell broke loose during the segment.

“Geraldo, it’s not my fault you never know what you’re talking about!” Bongino informed Rivera.

Rivera then yelled at Bongino, “Oh, you are so full of crap! You are so full of crap!”

“It’s not my fault you never research anything before you come on the air,” Bongino retorted.

“You are so full of it! That’s why I hate coming on with you because you are such a cheap shot artist,” Rivera snarled.

Hannity tried to intervene and referee to give Bongino a chance to have his say, but Rivera simply wouldn’t allow it.

Bongino ripped at Rivera for not allowing him to speak, “He doesn’t like to do that, Sean, because he always gets caught never knowing what he’s talking–”

“Stick to the facts!” Rivera snapped.

“–and he’s embarrassed,” Bongino continued.

“I’m embarrassed to be on this air with you. That’s why I’m embarrassed,” Rivera childishly responded.

Rivera then went on to try and place a bet with Bongino.

“Do you want to bet a thousand dollars? You wanna put your money where your mouth is? You wanna put your money where your mouth is? Sixteen thousand infections on Tuesday, 17,000 infections on Wednesday,” he declared.

Hannity once again implored Rivera to let Bongino speak.

“As long as he’s not talking about me, I’ll let him talk,” Rivera sulked.

“You’re on this segment with me, you dunce! How am I not gonna talk about you? What is wrong with you? Are you ok?” Bongino asked, nailing Rivera’s ridiculous demand.

At one point, Bongino took Rivera to the mat and kept him there.

“Geraldo, your position is so ridiculous, sane people around the country are looking and clawing at their faces right now. ‘What is this guy talking about?’ It doesn’t make any sense,” he said.

The contentious back and forth finally ended but the fiery feud between Bongino and Rivera hasn’t. There is definitely no love lost between the two pundits. Stay tuned for ongoing fireworks and flaring tempers courtesy of Geraldo Rivera.
