Despite allowing tens of thousands of job-hungry illegal aliens to stream across the southern U.S. border, the Biden administration is steadfastly refusing to offer even an iota of compassion to Cuban refugees fleeing communist oppression.
Case in point: On Tuesday, the U.S. Coast Guard “repatriated 27 Cubans to Cuba” after it found them desperately fleeing the communist nation aboard two separate vessels.
“In the first interdiction, a good Samaritan reported a 21-foot vessel with 22 people aboard, approximately 7 miles south of Key West to Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders at approximately 3:45 p.m. Friday. They were brought aboard Coast Guard Cutter William Trump and transferred to the Charles Sexton and reported in good health,” the federal agency reported in a press release.
“In the second interdiction, Coast Guard Station Islamorada reported a makeshift raft with five people aboard, approximately 15 miles offshore of Islamorada to Sector Key West watchstanders at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday. A Station Islamorada boat crew picked up the five people and transferred them to the Charles Sexton. They were reported in good health,” the agency added.

Instead of expressing solidarity with the refugees, Coast Guard official Capt. Adam Chamie slammed them for pulling a “dangerous” stunt that could have resulted “in loss of life.”
Yet ever since protests erupted in Cuba earlier this month, at least one protester has been killed and over 100 have gone missing, according to The Guardian.
“[S]cores of activists, protesters and journalists, including a reporter for one of Spain’s leading newspapers, have been detained as Communist party security forces seek to smother Sunday’s historic flare-up of dissent,” the paper reported on July 13th.
“Erika Guevara-Rosas, Amnesty International’s Americas director, said at least 140 Cubans were believed to have been detained or had disappeared in the aftermath of Cuba’s largest demonstrations in decades,” the paper added.
The lack of concern for what the refugees will no doubt face once they arrive back at home spurred a flurry of outrage at the Coast Guard.
Look:
Something tells me they’d rather take their chances with the sea if the alternative is being “repatriated”. Just sayin’.

Agreed. The @USCG and @POTUS have blood on their hands. Real Patriots would stand up for TRUE refugees like Cubans. This is a disgraceful chapter in American History. @FoxNews #FreeCuba

Gracias a Myorkas, these people will be tortured and killed. He is a Cuban immigrant, he knows what is in store for them.

You might as well execute those poor people. When you’re sending them back to the island, they’ll be executed anyway. Why not bring them back to US shore ? Oh , wait, Cubans vote against communism, and the current administration can’t have that interference.

This is really sad and hypocritical. Allowing migrants to flood into our southern border, but refusing Cuban refugees. I’d rather these come in and send 27 democrats to Cuba instead.

@FoxNews If Cubans make it to the Southern Border via caravan, boat, flight, balloon, etc, thru a country South of the US border (as Ghanaian citizens are doing) they’d be allowed into the #USA THEN ?!?
Does this make any sense #KamalaHarris ?— Ann Richards (@momof8fay) July 29, 2021
Note📝 Cartel members & child sex traffickers coming illegally across the southern border, good. Political refugees coming across the ocean seeking asylum & fleeing death by their communist government, bad. I am so ashamed of our country & our coast guard anymore😡🖕🏼 #disgusting

Not only are tens of thousands of illegal aliens being allowed to stream across the southern border, but so are COVID-positive ones who’re then being released into U.S. communities. This is an established FACT.
Earlier this very week, police officers in the Texas town of La Joya found a COVID-positive illegal alien family at a local Whataburger after someone complained to them that the family was “coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths and not wearing face masks.”
An investigation revealed that the illegals had been purposefully released by U.S. Border Patrol after they’d tested positive for the virus.
“In addition to telling the officer that Border Patrol had released them days prior due to their coronavirus status, the family said a charity group had paid for their room at the nearby Texas Inn Hotel,” Fort Worth station KTVT reported Wednesday.
“The officer followed up on that information, finding out that Catholic Charities of The Rio Grande Valley had booked all the rooms in the hotel to house undocumented immigrants detained by Border Patrol. He saw a group of 20 to 30 people staying at the hotel who were ‘out and about.’ Most of them weren’t wearing masks, according to the officer,” the station added.

If the Biden administration were letting in everybody or rejecting everybody, there would likely be more understanding from the public because of the consistency.
But instead, the administration is purposefully choosing to treat one set of migrants differently — better, in fact — than another set, and according to a growing number of critics, this is awfully, awfully, awfully unfair.
Cuban-American families who opted for legal emigration ask : When will the new American administration keep its promises?Visas detained. Consular services in third countries. It’s unfair.
