‘They want Darth Vader back’: Bill Burr rips Trump-fixated CNN for desperate pursuit of ratings

Bill Burr has expressed profound distrust with the so-called most trusted name in news because of its ongoing obsession with “Darth Vader” Trump.

According to the stand-up comedian and actor, CNN, the channel that President Trump characterized as very fake news, is also very dumb and comprised of “f—ing morons” and “treasonous un-American pieces of s–t.” The rest of the corporate media is not much better, he added.

F-bomb aficionado Burr began the rant on his “Monday Morning Podcast” by lamenting how his mother-in-law watches perpetually fear-mongering and ratings-hungry CNN when she comes over to babysit his kids.

“Do you know what those f—-ing morons are doing? They’re f—-ing talking about Trump. I swear to God. I cannot believe people watch that channel. They’re so dumb,” he declared.

Burr went to claim that the whole thing is a form of play-acting, because Donald Trump was good for ratings.

“Do you think those people give a f—? They want ‘Darth Vader’ to come back because they had nothing to talk about because it’s show business, and Joe Biden is a f—-ing bore. They can’t b*tch about [Biden] because he’s wearing a blue tie.” Burr may have been implying that CNN is just another megaphone for Democrats.

“So now what do they do? They’re doing what they did the first time to get this guy elected by giving him all this free coverage while they act like they allegedly don’t like him. I don’t buy it. They are a corporate news channel.

‘They’re f—-ing treasonous un-American pieces of s–t, just like Fox News, MSNBC, just like all of them. Just like f—ing all of them.”

Burr went to bemoan how the gym has CNN on the TVs in the cardio area where he was working out. “I wanted to ask them, ‘can you turn the f—ing channel?'”

Cable news is feeding America a steady diet of divisive doom and gloom, including “pandemic s—t,” regardless of the consequences for society, he opined. “What is they’re f—ing deals on those channels. Don’t they have any idea what they’re doing to you psychologically?…how about a positive story?…

“Can you imagine if that was you f—ing job to just go on TV every day and lie and get people to be against each other and just have everybody just sort of walking around in a low to high level of hysteria,” Bill Burr asked rhetorically.

Although the network operated as an around-the clock, anti-Trump infomercial for four or five years, about 70 percent of its audience reportedly abandoned CNN once Donald Trump left the White House.

The politically incorrect comic, 53, got into some hot water in March over certain un-PC remarks at the 2021 Grammy Awards as well as the joking last year on Saturday Night Live that white women hijacked the woke movement. To date, he hasn’t been cancelled, however.

Bill Burr also praised ex-Mandalorian star Gina Carano after Disney fired her from the popular sci-fi streaming show in early 2021 over controversial social media messages.

“She was an absolute sweetheart. Super f—ing nice person,” he said at the time during another podcast.

Burr appeared in Season 2 of the Star Wars spin-off. “I’m on that f —-ing show. Now, I gotta watch what the f— I say,” he admitted.
