A House Democrat who effectively stormed the U.S. Senate office building with a ragtag group of fellow “insurgents” Thursday was arrested on the spot, prompting outrage from the entire left.

Video footage shows Ohio Rep. Joyce Beatty, the chair of the racially divisive Congressional Black Caucus, marching into the Hart Senate Office Building at the U.S. Capitol with a large group of women.

Seen below, the women can be heard singing about their plan to “keep on marching for some freedom.” It’s not clear what “freedom” they’re lacking.

Watch:

Note how Reuters falsely portrayed the march as a “pro-voting rights demonstration.”

The women were marching to encourage the elimination of the filibuster, a move that would allow Democrats to swiftly pass the unconstitutional “For the People Act,” a radical bill that would federalize America’s elections and gut election security.

Once Beatty and her group reached the Hart Senate Office Building’s atrium, they began loudly chanting, “End the filibuster!”

Watch:

They were arrested soon after.

“This afternoon, nine people were arrested for demonstrating in a prohibited area on Capitol Grounds. At approximately 3:30pm, the United States Capitol Police responded to the Atrium in the Hart Senate Office Building for reports of illegal demonstration activity,” Capitol Police said in a statement to Fox News.

“After officers arrived on the scene, they warned the demonstrators three times to stop. Those who refused were arrested for D.C. Code §22-1307. Two males and seven females were transported to USCP Headquarters for processing,” they added.

Watch the arrests below:

Beatty’s arrest provoked massive outrage from the left on the dubious grounds that the Jan. 6th Capitol rioters were treated better than her.

For instance, Rep. Ayanna Pressley tweeted, “I dream a world where inciters of an insurrection & those who gut and obstruct voting rights are the ones arrested, and NOT the freedom riders & justice seekers.”

Look:

But the notion that Beatty was treated worse — and that she was treated worse specifically because of her race — is a lie.

Dozens of Capitol rioters were arrested on Jan. 6th, as reported at the time by CNN: “Metropolitan police made in excess of 52 arrests as a result of the violence at the US Capitol today, said Chief Robert Contee said at a news conference. Twenty-six of the 52 arrests were made on US Capitol grounds.”

Once arrested, they were reportedly (and are still are being) treated like garbage.

“We’re hearing that they’re in some of the worst jails and that some of them are being put in solitary confinement where they only have an hour where they can go outside. That they’re being fed poor food, they’re being treated like they’re terrorists and in Guantanamo Bay, where they’d be treated actually better,” Fox News host Mark Levin recently noted.

The rioters have also faced relentless character attacks from the entire American establishment press. And they’ve been completely railroaded by an unsympathetic Department of Justice, in some cases for doing nothing more than simply stepping foot into the Capitol to use the restroom.

Meanwhile, Beatty is being heralded by the entire media as some heroic “fighter for justice,” despite her brand of so-called “justice” involving the blatant rigging of America’s election system.

So technically yes, black women are indeed treated “differently in this country.” They’re treated significantly better on account of their politics and their race, to the point that anything they say is automatically deemed true, even when it’s a blatant lie.
