The White House is reportedly now proudly involved in the so-called art “career” of Hunter Biden, the crack-smoking son of the president, and this is so potentially unethical that even CNN, a Biden administration sycophant, has noticed.

The Washington Post confirmed Thursday that White House officials recently “helped craft an agreement” concerning the selling of Biden’s so-called “artwork.”

The agreement was crafted in response to concerns that the selling of Biden’s “artwork” could easily be exploited to conduct the sort of nefarious influence-peddling that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was notoriously accused of.

While Clinton was never charged, evidence exists showing that the Clinton Foundation had peddled influence through a “pay-to-play” scheme in which donors gave them money, and in return, they gave donors access to the then-secretary of state.

Similarly, concerns have been raised that the younger Biden, who’s known for his extremely shady business behavior, could try and sell access to the Biden White House by selling his “artwork.”

According to the Post, the agreement crafted by the White House will ensure that “purchases of Hunter Biden’s artwork … will be kept confidential from even the artist himself, in an attempt to avoid ethical issues that could arise as a presidential family member tries to sell a product with a highly subjective value.”

In other words, Biden won’t even know who purchased his work, so how could he influence peddle?

Questioned on Friday about the agreement, White House press secretary Jen Psaki proudly touted it, claiming it “allows for Hunter Biden to work in his profession within reasonable safeguards.”

To be clear, many believe the evidence suggests Biden’s so-called “profession” has been that of an influence-peddling swindler.

Psaki continued, “Of course, he has the right to pursue an artistic career, just like any child of a President has the right to pursue a career. But all interactions regarding the selling of art and the setting of prices will be handled by a professional gallerist, adhering to the highest industry standards. And any offer out of the normal course would be rejected out of hand.”

Yet some of his work has already received bids of up to $500,000, which Fox Business Network notes is “a pretty big haul when compared to other artists’ first sales.”

“And the gallerist will not share information about buyers or prospective buyers, including their identities, with Hunter Biden or the administration, which provides quite a level of protection and transparency,” Psaki added.

This prompted CBS’s Weijia Jiang to point out that clearly, the gallerist will know the identity of the purchasers, and the purchasers will know Biden’s identity, meaning therefore that influence-peddling could still occur.

“Is the White House doing anything to work with the owner to make sure there’s not impropriety there, when it is ultimately sold?” she asked.

“Well, I think it would be challenging for an anonymous person who we don’t know and Hunter Biden doesn’t know to have influence. So that’s a protection,” the White House press secretary replied.

Obama-era Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub was not impressed by her answers. Speaking on CNN later that afternoon, he slammed her talk about “industry standards.”

She mentioned industry standards. It’s an industry that’s notorious for money laundering. There’s no standards in that industry,” he said.

“And the idea that they’re going to flag any overly priced offers, well, this is art that hasn’t even been juried into a community art sale. How are they going to decide what’s unreasonable when they’ve already priced it in the range of $75,000 to $500,000 for a first outing? This is just preposterous and very disappointing,” he added.

Shaub also slammed the White House’s deal.

“[T]hey’ve absolutely made it worse. … [W]hat they’ve done is ensured that neither you, nor I, nor anyone watching this show will know who buys the art unless they share it publicly,” he said.

This, he added, makes it impossible for anyone to ensure that Biden actually sticks to his word. Suppose if, after purchasing Biden’s work, an “anonymous” purchaser privately contacts him and says, “Hey, I just bought your work. Can you help me out?” And suppose Biden helps him out. There would be virtually no way to know.

According to Shaub, what the administration “should” have done was try to convince Biden to not go through with selling his “artwork.” And if that failed, they “should have gone the opposite direction and asked that the name of buyers be released,” he said.

But no, the administration instead chose to do the exact opposite of what an ethical person would do. Coincidence or conspiracy?

Knowing the Biden family’s history …
