Hannity rips NYT for defending ‘full-time Donald Trump stalker’ Maggie Haberman as feud heats up

Fox News host Sean Hannity tore into journalist Maggie Haberman, calling her a “Donald Trump stalker” for her biased obsessive coverage of former President Trump. He then took aim at The New York Times after Executive Editor Dean Baquet came to the defense of Haberman.

On Monday, Hannity compared and contrasted the coverage by the media of Biden versus how they chose to cover Trump. He specifically went after Haberman for her lack of Biden coverage and because she seems to still be fixated on Trump. One of her favorite topics is the now-debunked Russian collusion story.

The conservative host referred to Haberman as “Stalker Maggie” and called for her and The New York Times to return their Pulitzer Prize “for their Russia collusion coverage, which of course turned out to be completely and totally false.”

“Maggie, I’ll ask again, when are you going to admit your mistakes, correct the record, return your fake Pulitzer, and admit who you are: you’ve now become a full-time Donald Trump stalker. You’re not covering Joe Biden the way you covered Donald Trump. You’re not capable of it,” he said slamming Haberman. “She stalks Trump, gives Biden a pass.”

“Rather than seriously covering ‘Sippy Cup’ and his family agenda, his weakness abroad…look at The New York Times and their full-time Donald Trump stalker Maggie Haberman even as she is now supposed to be covering Biden. She still appears to be obsessed with all things Donald Trump and mostly ignoring the ever forgetful Joe,” he commented.

“Maggie, you blew the biggest story in your career,” Hannity asserted. “You never told your readers the truth. You never told them the dossier was garbage, full of lies, propaganda, Russian misinformation….You’ve become basically the press office for all things Green New Deal socialism. If the Pulitzer committee, if you had any integrity, The New York Times had any integrity, you’d return the phony Pulitzer,” the conservative pundit contended

After New York Times columnist Ben Smith called the attack on Haberman “pathetic,” Hannity lashed back at him: “No Ben, wrong as usual, nobody does my show but me. The truth is you, Maggie, and your paper stalked Trump and still do. You reported lies and conspiracy theories about Trump and Russia. You got a phony Pulitzer. Now you give the cognitively weak Biden a pass…”

He went on to blast Smith even further: “If Trump’s kids lied on gun applications, threw away guns in dumpsters, made millions from countries like Russia, China, Ukraine and elsewhere with zero experience you would stalk them every second of every day. You are leftists & propagandists…”

And hit him yet again: “Return the Fake Pulitzer Ben, stop stalking Trump and treat Biden like you treated Trump. It’s simple. And I don’t give a sh*t who your phony sources are.”

Executive Editor Dean Baquet proclaimed in a statement that Haberman “is one of the finest journalists of her generation.” Hannity took extreme issue with that statement.

Fox News media reporter Brian Flood noted: “Haberman, who is also a CNN political analyst, has written or contributed to more than 100 stories since the day Biden took office and only eight were chiefly about Biden, according to a review of her online profile. The small number of Biden-related stories include pieces about the president’s reaction, or lack thereof, to embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D.”

“The anti-Trump media have only one arrow in their quiver and it’s aimed directly at The Donald and his supporters. They simply can’t survive without attacking him,” Media Research Center Vice President Dan Gainor told Fox News. “Times writers are among the worst. They not only hate Trump. They also have to placate their radically leftist readership. So they seldom even bother trying to go after the Biden administration. We are nearly seven months after the election and The Times just can’t let Trump go.”
