Chris Cuomo, who is essentially a Democrat operative anchoring a show on CNN, opened himself to widespread ridicule, and more importantly, an enormous series of truth bombs, when he asked Twitter to give him a single example of his biased coverage of the news.
When a Twitter user claimed that the often-grandstanding younger brother of Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) often avoids facts that don’t fit the liberal narrative, the host of Cuomo Prime Time apparently took the time, as it were, from his bodybuilding regimen to challenge the premise by demanding the user name just one, adding the cliche “tick tock.”
Twitter, collectively, was up to the challenge to enlighten the Ivy League-educated and apparently self-unaware law school graduate who, among other things, only has a sketchy idea of what the U.S. Constitution, particularly the First Amendment, entails.
The relentlessly anti-Trump Cuomo, who was a vocal mask-shamer, is perhaps best known for his cringey, if not cartoonish, backslapping interviews with his big brother about what a stellar job the latter was doing in handling the coronavirus pandemic.
The world has subsequently learned about the governor’s horrific decision to send COVID-positive patients in the state’s nursing homes and the massive number of fatalities that subsequently occurred, an executive decision that is subject to investigations on the federal and state level.
Earlier this year, the host of Cuomo Prime Time announced on his ratings-challenged program that it would amount to a conflict of interest to cover the sexual harassment allegations engulfing his brother. It later turned out that he was privately giving his brother advice on how to deal with the scandal, which violated journalism ethics, assuming journalism and ethics actually go together anymore.
Here’s the tweet that got the ball rolling that could be a lesson about being careful what you wish for.
Name one? Tick tock https://t.co/8yoiSaJSB0

Many Twitter users enthusiastically seized on the opportunity to provide reminders to the often-self-righteous Cuomo about his greatest hits. The following is just a representative sampling that perhaps only scratches the surface:
Would you like us to start with facts about you, your father, your brother, your network, or your political messaging?

you helped Andy with PR around his terrible behavior when you could have stayed out of it/told him to take responsibility for his actions/stopped covering him.
You’re supposed to report the news + hold lawmakers accountable, not coach them behind the scenes.— Marley Magaziner (@MarleyMagaziner) June 17, 2021
The thousands of nursing home deaths your brother called while you two were laughing and joking about it all on live TV.

Remember that time you left your basement with COVID and actually got in a fight with someone.

didn’t you do PR consultations for your “Love Guv” brother, accused of serial sexual misconduct?

Chris “show me where it says protests are supposed to be peaceful” Cuomo everybody. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

He had no problem covering him when everything looked rosey.

Not sure about that because his physique isn’t unobtainable, especially with personal trainers and supplements. The fake weights he’s used are laughable though.

Honestly Chris, it’s the same thing as lying when you omit facts to serve your narrative. You did this when reporting on police issues this past year, but you weren’t the only one. 🤷🏾

The real challenge is finding one example where Chris told the truth. Tick tock.

Bruh. It’d be easier to list the times you WEREN’T a biased hack, Fredo.

To be fair, @ChrisCuomo said to name one, not one hundred.

You must be joking!
— Jonathan Witt (@Jonathan_Witt) June 17, 2021
You pretended to quarantine and you did propaganda for your brother while NY badly handled covid, with the 2nd highest deaths per capita in the country. Also you don’t understand the 1st amendment, but those are only the ones I could find in under a minute pic.twitter.com/GzcyFMKc20

Your really stepped on a rake there, Fredo.
