Protesters smash window at famed NYC eatery Carbone, injuring customer

For those who’ve been paying attention these past few years, it’s no secret that we can’t have anything nice anymore because of the radical left.

The latest example of this was seen Thursday night in New York City where protesters smashed a window at the famed Greenwich Village eatery Carbone — the attack is part of what is known as the “Stonewall protests,” a weekly campaign that condemns police brutality and violence against transgender individuals.

The popular Italian-American restaurant was set upon just after 8 p.m., according to the New York Post. An outdoor dining structure was vandalized and police are in the process of investigating the incident. One diner, a woman seated at an outdoor table, was left with minor injuries when she suffered a cut to her shoulder. She reportedly refused medical attention at the scene.

“Businesses throughout NYC are still recovering from the past year, purposely causing damage to their business is not helping any cause,” read a tweet from an official NYPD Twitter account.

The protests are known to be unruly, with participants engaging in unlawful actions from time to time.

The tweet below, shared from June 2020 showed that at one point, police were forced to use pepper spray on the mob.

Protesters use the Stonewell Riots as an excuse for their mayhem. Occurring on June 24, 1969, a riot was sparked by a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a gay club located in Greenwich Village.

At the time, raids on gay bars were common — in the 1960s, solicitation of same-sex relations was illegal in New York City, and the state Liquor Authority would penalize and shut down bars that served alcohol to known or suspected LGBT individuals.

On this night, bar patrons and some local residents decided to fight back, which led to six days of protests and violent clashes with law enforcement outside the bar.

A video shared from last week’s protest captured protesters marching down a street chanting a list of demands.

Proving that this effort is yet another extension of the hard left’s embrace of Marxism, the protesters are seen marching with Black Lives Matter flags chanting, “Free housing for all!,” “Free education,” and “Free Healthcare!”
