Hillary Clinton flips double-fisted wine guzzling gossip story into a PSA

Hillary and Bill Clinton were both spotted at a high-end restaurant in the Upper East Side on Tuesday, and the former first lady managed to make it into a push for increased vaccination.

Using two hands to nurse a glass of white wine, Hillary and her crew enjoyed a posh dinner at Fleming by Le Bilboquet after arriving with several Secret Service agents. Bill indulged fans with selfies before settling at the table with his wife and friends, one of whom was rock star Sting’s wife, Trudie Styler.

The New York Post published an article on the dinner, complete with photographs of the Clintons and their guests.

It’s likely that very few people would have even seen the story had it not been for Hillary’s incessant urge to politicize everything she can. Her official Twitter account tweeted a screenshot of the article (because retweeting was too difficult?) and used it as a call to get vaccinated so that you too, can enjoy wine with your friends.

The tweet’s comments quickly filled up with left-leaning users patting themselves and each other on the back for getting the vaccine and returning to a relatively normal lifestyle. One person even suggested that Clinton auction off “a wine date with Bill and you for a good cause.”

Other users suggested that vaccinating was a personal decision that each person must decide on:

Still, others intoned that the New York Post article might be some sort of vast right-wing conspiracy, to coin a phrase.

But this isn’t Clinton’s first time urging people to get the shot.

In March, former President Bill Clinton appeared alongside Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, and George W. Bush and their wives in a PSA about how important it is to get vaccinated. In the video, each of the aforementioned former presidents and former first ladies could be seen receiving their jabs.

The ad made waves at the time because the only living former president and first lady not included in the video were Donald and Melania Trump. Then-President Trump is credited with Operation Warp Speed and oversaw the creation and initial distribution of the vaccine, and it was seen as a calculated and disrespectful move to not include him in the video.
