The official Black Lives Matter Twitter account has once again declared “solidarity” with Palestinians.
“Black Lives Matter stands in solidarity with Palestinians. We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all forms and will continue to advocate for Palestinian liberation. ( always have. And always will be ). #freepalestine,” the account tweeted Monday.
In response, the official Twitter account of the global Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement offered BLM its thanks.

Thank you for your solidarity. From Ferguson to Palestine, our struggles against racism, white supremacy and for a just world are united!

Both BLM and BDS are far-left movements that refuse to condemn violence and that associate with those whom some would consider extremely shady people.
In the case of BDS, its National Committee members “include the Council of National and Islamic Forces in Palestine,” which itself is comprised of “several groups designated by the United States as terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine,” according to The New York Times.
In the case of BLM, it was co-founded by a self-avowed Marxist, Alicia Garza, who looks to the likes of wanted domestic terrorist Assata Shakur as a role model and hero. Moreover, an actual convicted terrorist, Susan Rosenberg, is “a member of the board of directors for the left-wing Thousand Currents group, which handles the intake of donations made to Black Lives Matter,” according to the Washington Examiner.
The tweet Monday wasn’t BLM’s first foray into international politics. The then-burgeoning movement released an official statement five years ago — months before the 2016 presidential election — smearing Israel as an “apartheid state” that perpetrates “genocide” against the Palestinians. FYI, despite this alleged “genocide,” to this day millions of Palestinians still live in Israel.
“The US justifies and advances the global war on terror via its alliance with Israel and is complicit in the genocide taking place against the Palestinian people. … Israel is an apartheid state with over 50 laws on the books that sanction discrimination against the Palestinian people,” BLM claimed.
As noted by a slew of critics, what BLM doesn’t seem to grasp is either the meaning of colonialism, the history of Israel, or the realities of life among the Palestinians.
Well I guess some BLM members needs to go back to school cuz they don’t know what colonialism means 🤭😂

Yes also boycott the iPhone , all the technology you use these comes from Israel, all the live saving products and all that touches Israeli innovation. You still use it every day and spread hate against Israel every day. You support Hamas and radical terror groups – that’s evil.

So much irony when we hear constant calls to “Free Palestine” from colonialism when Jewish Israelis are perhaps the only example of an indigenous ethnic group that’s decolonized and gained sovereignty in our ancestral land. Enough with the lies…. pic.twitter.com/hY3Ebc6mEK

Much of what BLM supports — including the right to dissent via “peaceful protests,” gay rights, transgender rights, etc. — isn’t tolerated in Palestinian-held territories.
“The Fatah-led Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas authorities in Gaza routinely arrest and torture peaceful critics and opponents,” Human Rights Watch confirmed in 2018.
“Twenty-five years after Oslo, Palestinian authorities have gained only limited power in the West Bank and Gaza, but yet, where they have autonomy, they have developed parallel police states. Calls by Palestinian officials to safeguard Palestinian rights ring hollow as they crush dissent,” HRW deputy program director Tom Porteous said at the time.
Meanwhile, Gaza and West Bank were listed among “the most dangerous countries for LGBTQ travelers” this year, according to The Jerusalem Post.
During a rally in Toronto two years ago in support of the Palestinians, one rallygoer straight-up admitted that a gay couple “would be executed in [Gaza] according to Islamic law. Islam doesn’t endorse gays — Islam doesn’t endorse homosexuality.”

BLM has never once addressed the glaring inconsistency of its support for the Palestinians and its support for gay/trans rights.
Nor has it ever acknowledged that the greatest civil rights leader in American history, Martin Luther King Jr., was an avid supporter of Israel and outspoken critics of anti-Semitism.
