Biden’s CIA pushes ahead with new ‘woke’ recruitment ad in quest for a more ‘diverse’ workforce

The Central Intelligence Agency is apparently doubling down on identity politics with another purported ‘woke’ recruitment video, even though an earlier hiring promo went over like a lead balloon.

This campaign appears to give further credence to the Biden administration’s misplaced priorities, particularly in an area as vital as national security in a world fraught with challenges, especially from China, Iran, North Korea, and elsewhere.

In the latest video that has gone viral, a CIA librarian discusses, in part, his lived experience.

Growing up gay in a small Southern town…I always struggled with the idea that I might not be able to discuss my personal life at work. Imagine my surprise when I was taking my oath at CIA, and I noticed a rainbow on then-Director Brennan’s lanyard…inclusion is a core value here.

“Officers from the top down work hard to insure that every single person, whatever their gender, gender identity, race, disability, or sexual orientation can bring their entire self to work every day.”

Side note: In between apparently championing diversity, Brennan was one of the government officials and ex-officials pushing the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. Moreover, liberals historically used to be skeptical of the CIA and other such intelligence-gathering agencies; the CIA, however, is now widely seen as liberal.

In a Twitter thread, left-leaning journalist Alan MacLeod shared several other similarly diversity-focused videos purportedly from CIA employees that he says are real, and taken from an unlisted CIA YouTube playlist that he received, including this one.

The initial CIA video that prompted widespread ridicule featured a woman describing herself as as “a cisgender millennial who’s been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. I am intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise.”

Reacting to the video, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld quipped that “Wait; didn’t she just check every box? By the way, who actually says ‘I’m intersectional’? I mean, besides my couch.”

“The fact is, we have foreign enemies who dream of nothing more than killing each one of us every day. And I doubt that Oprah-level, university-approved talking points about gender and race would scare them,” Gutfeld added on a far more serious note.

U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), for example, was one of many who blasted the initial ad.

Biggs irreverently suggested that the CIA should change its traditional motto from “The Work of the Nation” to “The Woke of the Nation.”

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Donald Trump Jr. also chimed in about the elevation of social engineering over security.

The new video is not winning any applause on social media either, even apparently on the left. Here is a sampling:
