ABC News puts award-winning spin on poll describing Biden’s failure to unify

An early trend seen in the Biden presidency is favorable polling being broadcast by the same media entities that more or less elected President Joe Biden, polling that’s often heavily weighted toward Democrats.

Given that the corrupt media was able to sway a large swath of the population into believing that former President Donald Trump was a racist and a Russian agent, one can better understand their arrogance in thinking they can prop up a rapidly aging 78-year-old Democrat as the best thing since sliced bread.

An example of this effort was seen Monday by ABC News, which took what was clearly a lemon and made extra sweet lemonade with it.

Biden launched his presidency under the notion of “unity,” this being the campaign rhetoric he used to convince the gullible to go with him, yet has governed from the far left from day one — so much so that U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a self-avowed wet-blanket socialist, had no complaints about Biden’s first 100 days in office, praising his efforts.

His abandonment of “unity” showed in a new ABC News/Ipsos poll, with only 23% saying the country has become more united. The network added this spin: “Among this group, an overwhelming 87% give Biden credit. Only 3% assigned credit to Republican leaders in Congress, and 10% said both in the poll.”

“President Joe Biden completes his first hundred days in office with a country that is more optimistic about the coming year,” ABC News said. “Nearly two-thirds of Americans (64%) are optimistic about the direction of the country in the poll.”

Naturally, the article then noted that just after Trump was “catapulted” to the Oval Office, “only 42% of Americans were optimistic about the future, compared to 52% who were pessimistic.”

Buried in the details is that the poll reflected the thinking of just “513 general population adults age 18 or older.”

Of course, the elephant in the room here is that the poll is a greater reflection of the media bias in America than it is of how Americans feel about one president or another.

Nowhere is this more reflective than on the southern border. The hair-on-fire media screamed from the rafters for weeks about unaccompanied children being held by the U.S. government under Trump, relentlessly attacking the Republican president as a cruel racist who didn’t care about the children.

The number of unaccompanied minors in custody under Biden dwarf Trump’s totals, as if juiced on steroids. The last known count was somewhere north of 20,000, before the administration opened the floodgates and began releasing illegal immigrants into America by the thousands.

And while the humanitarian crisis remains on the border, the media rarely mentions it today.

Another recent poll from CBS News boldly declared that “85% of viewers approve of President Biden’s speech to Congress,” following last week’s address to a joint session of Congress. Even left-leaning Snopes gave the remarkable claim a “False” rating, noting that those who tuned in were predominantly Democrats.

As for the ABC News spin job, it was all the rage online — here’s a small sampling of the responses from Twitter:
