CNN’s Jim Acosta declares Fox News ‘the bullsh*t factory,’ using expletive twice on air

Jim Acosta, an employee of a network that spent about four-plus years trafficking in unfounded anti-Trump conspiracy theories, has described Fox News as a “bullsh*t factory” on live TV. In attempt to be edgy, the grandstanding, self-righteous CNN journalist actually cursed twice in the segment.

On a ratings-challenged show that is oddly called “CNN Newsroom,” Acosta was reacting to the now-retracted New York Post story picked up by Fox News that Kamala Harris’ book was being distributed to children in a welcome kit at a border facility.

“That tale from the border didn’t just border on BS, this was USDA, grade-A bullsh*t…But the damage was done, pumped out over the airwaves at the bullsh*t factory also known as Fox News,” Acosta claimed.

Switching gears slightly, Acosta — who was the grandstanding White House reporter for CNN during the Trump administration — then targeted Tucker Carlson for questioning outside mask-wearing orthodoxy, describing the top-rated Fox News host as “the doctor of disinformation who sounds like he went to medical school at Trump University.”

Acosta appeared to be reading off a teleprompter and, if so, which is standard operating procedure in TV news, these remarks presumably went through the network’s editorial screening process.

The humorless Acosta, in particular, seems to be fixated on Carlson, perhaps because the latter has become so successful and influential as the viewership of CNN and other liberal mainstream outlets trend downward.

Earlier this month in a  segment with liberal wingman Brian Stelter, who seems equally Fox News-obsessed, Acosta previously deemed FNC the “Carlson News Network,” and described Tucker as a “wackjob.”

Obviously, the Post story was a miscue and fact-checking failure.

However, Acosta’s hand-wringing about “lies” comes only a few weeks after a Project Veritas undercover video caught a CNN technical director allegedly admitting that the focus for the so-called most trusted name in news “was to get Trump out of office” and to boost Biden’s chances.

This included portraying the Democrat as a “young geriatric,” which might suggest that CNN — a channel that President Trump famously deemed “very fake news” — was itself putting out industrial-strength BS.

Independent journalist Sharyl Attkisson, an award-winning former CBS News investigative correspondent, has documented the mistakes that the media made in the Trump era (almost always in the anti-Trump direction), with the total currently standing at 154.

Acosta’s latest diatribe came shortly before both the Washington Post and the New York Times had to retract a story that Rudy Giuliani was alerted by federal authorities in late 2019 that he was the target of a Russian influence operation.

In a discussion about the Post retraction about Harris that has gained a lot of currency in the media space, even Never Trumper Meghan McCain, The View co-host, asserted, “You think Jim Acosta isn’t an activist? I don’t have any trust in people on CNN anymore…let’s go down the list every day of things every day that are inaccurate on CNN and NBC.”
