‘Embarrassment’! Kilmeade NOT having Earhardt’s excuses as he rips Kamala Harris for total border botch

‘Fox & Friends’ co-host Brian Kilmeade expressed his utter disgust for Vice President Kamala Harris and her handling of the border crisis while confronting Ainsley Earhardt over President Biden’s purported high ratings.

Harris was tapped by Biden on March 24 to address the issue of increased migration over the nation’s southern border. Instead, Harris has taken a decidedly more hands-off approach, attempting to focus on diplomacy instead in the “Triangle Countries” of Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. A majority of illegal immigrants are coming from those countries.

The Vice President has yet to visit the border and is now using COVID as an excuse to stay away. The Biden administration’s approval ratings on handling the border are cratering currently.

Co-host Steve Doocy made the valid point on the show that there are “COVID issues” across the nation, but that hasn’t kept Harris from traveling to select cities such as Buffalo and Chicago. She has been promoting Biden’s COVID Relief Bill and his infrastructure plan. Harris hasn’t been addressing illegal immigration, however.

“She can’t go to Texas or Arizona?” Earhardt posited. Kilmeade then proclaimed, “What an embarrassment. Can you imagine getting an assignment and just not doing it? That’s what’s happening now. Yesterday might have well have been the Queen of England in terms of her engagement.”

Earhardt touted the high approval rating of the Biden administration as if somehow that mitigates the lack of action by Harris on the border.

Kilmeade was blunt in his assessment of Harris’ failure to handle the border crisis: “She is not doing it bad; she is not doing it at all,” he claimed. “I have no idea why she is getting a pass.”

Doocy and Earhardt both referenced the reported high approval ratings of Biden over his handling of the pandemic and stated that it was “their number one issue.”

She went on to insinuate that Harris was avoiding the border due to “a security issue.” However, she did not elaborate on exactly what that issue was.

Kilmeade wasn’t having any of that sort of apologetic logic: “You think it applies here?!”

Earhardt then seemed to propose that Harris really didn’t want the border “assignment” to begin with.

“If you want to be great you want great challenges,” Kilmeade stated.

“And if you want to be president, you want to tackle – clear the highest hurdles. She just shows no interest in it, because of embarrassing comments about the border, because millions are coming across our border is changing the population. Don’t tell me to wear a mask in an open field and at the same time not test a million migrants coming here illegally – many of which test positive for the coronavirus.”

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy questioned White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday over Harris’ absence at the border. According to Doocy, Harris’ team blamed her absence on the COVID-19 pandemic. Psaki explained that the Vice President’s focus wasn’t specifically on the border, but on “addressing the root causes in the Northern Triangle.”
