Correction: The best incorrectly stated that a majority of employees at the top four big tech companies donated to Republicans. It was supposed to say Democrats.

Big tech, big media and the Democrat Party all go hand in hand like a horse and carriage, and that’s not good for America, according to Fox News host Jesse Watters.

In a lengthy monologue Saturday on Fox News’ “Watters World,” he summed up how, with every major institution now directly linked to the Democrat Party, the party has full control of the flow of information in America.

Big media and big tech have officially merged with one political party – the same party that now controls the State. The merger presents an unprecedented danger to the American people, a danger to the truth,” he said.

It’s a longstanding, inexorable truth that was best summed up by now-deceased novelist Tom Clancy in 1995: “The control of information is something the elite always does, particularly in a despotic form of government. Information, knowledge, is power. If you can control information, you can control people.”

Indeed, and that’s exactly what’s been happening, according to Watters. To prove it, he then began naming names.

Listen to part one of his monologue below:

“CNN, which is owned by Warner Media, is owned by AT&T. MSNBC, NBC News, owned by Comcast. CBS, owned by Viacom and they’re owned by National Amusements. ABC, as everybody knows, is owned by Disney. New York Times is half a family business with large outside investors. And the Washington Post, owned by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man,”  he said.

“These big media companies, and their parent companies, control nearly 100 percent of American news coverage and content. They control the narrative. If they don’t cover something, it doesn’t exist. They create the scandals, or they cover them up. They employ thousands of producers, executives, anchors, writers, and reporters. Most every news element you consume, they have their hands all over it. And they have their hands in politics too.”

Every network he listed is known for being a liberal network because of its very conspicuous liberal biases. These biases are demonstrated by the constant lies and smears they tell about Republican politicians.

Earlier this month, for instance, CBS News smeared Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, by claiming he’d awarded a coronavirus vaccine contract to the state’s most popular grocery chain because it’d given him money.

There’s a reason their lies and smears always target Republicans, according to Watters.

Listen to part two of his monologue below:

“In the last election, employees and PACs at these big media companies donated over 37 million dollars to Democrats and only around 11 million to Republicans in total. … Can big media companies shower the Democratic Party with multi-million dollar donations and cover the party fairly?” he continued.

The same holds true of those big tech companies that don’t own media companies.

Employees and PACs for the four companies — Facebook, Twitter, Google and Apple — that “control how Americans communicate, what news and information we see and don’t see, even what type of people we can interact with online and even what language we’re allowed to use” donated overwhelmingly to Democrats in the last election.

So what does all this mean? Bad news for America, according to Watters.

A tight-knit band of corporate Democrats control how we process information and what exactly that information is. Their news product and their agenda has merged with the Democratic Party just as it’s taken full control of the executive and legislative branch. And what are they selling? Fear. Why? Money and control,” he said.

The proof is in the pudding:

After concluding his monologue, Watters then invited Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald to offer his take on what’s “really going on.”

Greenwald argued that it’s all part of a longtime trend toward Democrat-corporate hegemony that jumped into acceleration mode with the election of former President Donald Trump in 2016.

“All of those trends that you just identified severely worsened during the Trump era, beginning really in 2016. They obviously had no expectation Trump would win, and then when he did, it was an incredible shock to the system of media and political experts. They felt like they had lost control over the discourse, that their ability to predict what would happen was taken away from them,” he said.

“And they kind of went into this panic and hysteria mode and ultimately convinced themselves that what they were dealing with was not a president with whom they had ideological disagreements or who they thought was occasionally unethical or even dishonest, but actually like a Hitler figure.”

And so in a bid to take out their perceived “Hitler,” they — big tech and big media — vowed to do whatever it takes.

It’s all quite ironic, Greenwald added.

“They became mirror images of what they claim that Trump was. They threw out all standards, all ethics in order to achieve not a journalistic goal, but a political one. And then I think the other part of it is, as you alluded to, they know that they are losing trust and faith on the part of the public. Their ability to control the flow of information is slipping out of their fingers,” he explained.

“And so they’re resorting to the same thing people always resort to when they want to hold on to power, which is despotic tactics and censorship. They’re trying to silence anybody who disagrees with them or who questions or challenges them or offers a different perspective.”

It’s almost as if they’ve become fascists …
