First lady Jill Biden certainly had tongues wagging over the weekend after photos of her returning to Andrews Air Force Base following a visit to California made the rounds.
At 69, Mrs. Biden is no spring chicken but that didn’t prevent her from channeling a 1980s Madonna look as she deplaned, rocking black floral fishnet tights, black heeled half-boots, a black leather skirt and a black blazer.
Arriving late Thursday — Aprils Fools Day — we can be fairly certain Biden’s attire wasn’t intended to commemorate Good Friday or Easter Sunday.
There was plenty of online debate over the outfit, with some questioning whether it’s appropriate for a first lady and others suggesting she was too old to pull the look off.
“Amid a chaotic day of First Lady duties and elaborate pranks, Biden also wore an unexpected (though greatly appreciated) outfit. Jill paired a set of black floral fishnet tights, black heeled booties, a semi-pleated leather skirt, and a fitted black blazer. Think: Early aughts emo meets White House matriarch,” InStyle celebrated.
The magazine also said Biden “pranked staff and reporters by dressing up as a flight attendant (complete with a black wig and name tag reading ‘Jasmine’) and handing out Dove ice cream bars.”
Naturally, Kool-Aid drinkers on the left would rush to praise Biden — and used the incident as an excuse to attack former first lady Melania Trump.
A former model full of class, Mrs. Trump was snubbed entirely by the Trump-hating fashion magazine industry during her four years in the White House.

On the other hand, there was lots of criticism and jeering over the ensemble, likely put together by some well meaning aide trying to make Biden appear young and hip.
Lord knows there’s no hope of pulling off such a stunt with her husband, President Joe Biden, who looks every bit the 78 years he has under his belt. And then some.
