Liberal attorney Marc Elias stepped in it when he tweeted out a deliberate misrepresentation of Georgia’s new voter ID law and basically insinuated that voters were too stupid to read their own driver’s licenses.
The Democrat powerhouse legalese insulted Georgians’ intelligence and then made what is being called a racist move by making his point using a license featuring the picture of a black woman.
It’s long been argued by Republicans that one of the primary reasons that Democrats want to block voter ID is that they allegedly think minority voters are too stupid to figure out how to obtain an ID. They also contend it’s not about being able to afford one because there are a variety of IDs that are available for free or at a very low cost. A valid ID is needed for just about everything these days including travel, voting, proof of vaccination, taxes, financial transactions, etc.
Elias is a high-profile attorney that represents many prominent Democrats. He was heavily involved in the 2020 election to stop former President Trump.

He actually proved the Republicans’ premise with his tweet on Thursday night concerning racism. Elias is a legal expert so of course, the liberal media trot him out to support left-leaning topics whenever possible. This time it backfired.
Elias insultingly tweeted without taking the time to think it through: “The new Georgia law will require voters to submit ID to vote by mail. If they use their driver’s license, they need to provide the #. One of the two numbers below is correct. If they put the other, it will be rejected. Are you sure you would pick the right one?” It would also be rejected if you entered your birthdate, social security number, license issuance date, etc. It’s a specious argument. He’s staunchly and predictably against submitting ID to mail in your vote which many contend prevents voter fraud.
Apparently Marc Elias thinks Black people are too stupid to know that "DL NO." is where they can find their driver's license number https://t.co/fIvIdGkfDM

Ironically, while the left is screaming racism over what they deem as “voter suppression tactics” that they disingenuously compare to actual ones utilized during the Jim Crow era, they are reportedly guilty of what they are decrying.
Elias seems to think that despite the fact that the license he is referencing has “DL NO” beside the required number, voters are just too incompetent to determine what number to use. It’s also the first number on the license which makes it an even more obvious choice. All the liberal attorney managed to do with his tweet was offend thousands on social media and get roasted for his derogatory portrayal of voters.
When called out for choosing a license with a black woman’s picture on it to make his point about the stupidity of voters, Elias got his hackles up and claimed he “never mentioned race.” He claims to have gotten the photo from the DMV site. He chose that particular license to make his point that Georgian voters were having their voices squelched. He chose poorly.
I never mentioned race and the photo is from the Georgia DMV's website. https://t.co/cAxHdcnPP9
But, of course, you knew that when you wrote what you did below. https://t.co/nfocLxeXlg

Elias proceeded to keep digging deeper on Twitter after being caught in his faux pas. An esteemed attorney should know better.
Twitter was not kind to the barrister who seems to have gotten his ego bruised over the whole affair. At least he’s trending on social media:
Thank God for white progressives.
They are always looking out for us poor, dumb negroes who can't figure out how to find out driver's license number.
What would we do without them? https://t.co/6EhGzKLcnm

The argument Democratic elites like Marc Elias are making against voter ID is that minority voters are apparently too stupid to read their own drivers licenses properly, which is required on several government forms.
Sounds pretty racist to me.

Democrats believe that the act of writing down a driver’s license number is too difficult for absentee voters.
This is what they call “the new Jim Crow.”
Their incredible hyperbole and outright misrepresentation of Georgia’s new law reveal that their criticisms are not serious. https://t.co/3tjCZuknOz

Psst. The driver’s license number is probably the “DL No.” https://t.co/DddkgNDW18

Democrats are treating minorities like we're children again, claiming we won't be able to find our driver's license #, in order to register to vote with new VoterID laws. Yet, we have ZERO ISSUE finding that DL No. to pay taxes, car registration, see a doctor, or get employed.
— Cardinal Conservative (@CardinalConserv) April 2, 2021
I'd pick the "DL NO" one since it's asking for the driver's license number. I guess I have enough faith in people to think they aren't complete morons. Liberals, on the other hand, think black people are stupid. https://t.co/EMYQ4pnv5K

I’m pretty sure if you can’t figure out your DL number you shouldn’t be voting. I’m also pretty sure this clown and the rest of Dems clearly don’t think much of their voting base. https://t.co/gHw6HL0WFX

Ah, the good ol' "You're Probably Stupid So We Need To Protect You From Your Own Stupidity" argument. https://t.co/UkPM0CNxtV
