Missing woman found weeks later trapped and naked in storm drain

A woman who was reported missing in Florida three weeks ago has been rescued from a storm drain where she was found trapped and naked.

Delray Beach Fire Rescue said a passerby had heard the woman’s cries for help and called 911 just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Firefighters said they removed a grate before using a ladder and harness to lift her out of the drain. The woman, whose identity has not been released, has now been taken to a local hospital, the department added.

The woman had been reported missing to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on March 3. Officials reportedly do not know how long she was in the 8-foot deep storm drain.
