Cardi B scrubs account after Candace vows to sue. ‘Too late,’ says Owens: ‘By the time I’m through with her…’

Conservative podcaster and author Candace Owens clarified Thursday that she does indeed plan to file suit against rapper Cardi B following an exchange online last week in which Owens accused the entertainer of using doctored images in tweets to slander her family.

“It was not an idle threat,” the co-founder of the “Blexit” movement told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham after the host said that Cardi B scrubbed her Twitter account of the tweets and images in question after a back-and-forth with Owens following the rapper’s controversial Grammys appearance in which she and fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion performed their hit “WAP.”

“We are suing Cardi B,” Owens added. “You will be able to watch this play out in the courtroom. It is unacceptable that any person would use doctored tweets to try and libel and slander my family members, my private family members, and think that I’m going to take that sitting down.

“By the time I’m through with her, I think I’m going to be an investor in ‘WAP,’” Owens quipped.

Owens and Cardi B have often engaged in exchanges on Twitter, so their back-and-forth that began early Tuesday following the Blexit founder’s appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program, in which she criticized the WAP performance for vulgarity, wasn’t out of the ordinary.

However, this time the exchange escalated into personal attacks, with Cardi B criticizing Owens for being “submissive to a white man” — her husband — in reference to a video in which the author and Daily Wire podcaster made him a sandwich.

“If you think making your husband a sandwich is a sin, but popping your vagina into another woman’s vagina in front of the world is power — you are a lost soul,” Owens said in response.

After Cardi B pointed out that Owens offered her some praise in 2018 and asked what changed, Owens explained that all people have positives and negatives and that the Sunday Grammys performance was extremely negative.

The rapper then responded with what Owens says is a doctored tweet of her admitting her husband cheated on her with her brother.

“Not you talking about two women thrusting their vaginas together while your husband and brother slap c**ks and b**ls together. WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! wow,” Cardi B wrote in the now-deleted tweet.

Initially, Owens laughingly dismissed the tweet. But Cardi B doubled down.

“This wasn’t photoshopped you was trending the whole day when you tweeted this and it was published on a lot of blog outlets. Your right mine sleeps around yours sleeps at yours sleep at your home with your brother C**K BOXING while you tweet me,” the rapper wrote in another now-deleted tweet.

“What the actual hell are you talking about? Are you dead serious right now trying to substantiate a photoshopped tweet? Asking one more time before I get the lawyers to make you publicly admit you’re lying and embarrass yourself,” Owens tweeted in response.

After a couple of additional tweets in response, Owens noted: “Yes. Just spoke with my family. I am 100% suing Cardi for that nonsense. You can’t just start throwing out wild lies against private members of my family because you’re upset someone called your out on your degenerate performance.

“I‘ll keep you all posted,” she added.

For her part, Cardi B claimed she deleted the tweets because her account is strictly for fun.

“The tweets between me & you was not entertaining anyone. It was getting boring,” she posted. “Get a life Candy it’s been two days.”
