Trump holds nothing back in scorching statement, slams SCOTUS for green-lighting Dem ‘fishing expedition’

Former President Donald Trump was none too pleased with the Supreme Court he largely shaped for refusing to block a grand jury subpoena from Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance for eight years of his personal and corporate tax records.

Under siege throughout his presidency, from even before he took office, Trump has endured one witch hunt after another, be it the Russian collusion hoax or a sham impeachment, and the former president released a statement labeling Vance’s probe into potential tax violations involving the Trump Organization the same.

Having watched politically motivated Democrats use the institutions of government to go at him, be it the FBI or the U.S. House of Representatives, Trump’s statement reads much like his tweets once did, as he calls Speaker Nancy Pelosi “Crazy Nancy.”

“This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country, whether it was the never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possible be investigated, ‘Russia Russia Russia,’ where there was a finding of ‘No Collusion,’ or two ridiculous ‘Crazy Nancy’ inspired impeachment attempts where I was found NOT GUILTY. It just never ends!” Trump said in a statement Monday.

In denouncing the unprecedented pursuit of a former president, Trump said that the Supreme Court should have put a stop to the “fishing expedition” by political enemies — meanwhile, Vance responded with what effectively serves as a finger in his face.

“So now, for more than two years, New York City has been looking at almost every transaction I’ve ever done, including seeking tax returns which were done by among the biggest and most prestigious law and accounting firms in the U.S.” Trump said in the statement. “The Supreme Court never should have let this ‘fishing expedition’ happen, but they did. This is something which has never happened to a President before, it is all Democrat-inspired in a totally Democrat location, New York City and State, completely controlled and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo.”

According to reports, Trump’s tax records are not supposed to become public as part of the criminal investigation — the odds are not in your favor if you believe that leaks are unlikely.

Trump is also being pursued by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who had vowed before taking office to use “every area of the law” to get him — the prosecutor launched a civil probe into whether the Trump Organization improperly inflated and deflated the value of certain real estate properties for financial gain.

As might be expected, the former president referenced the 2020 election in calling out Democrats, saying it was “an election which many people, and experts, feel that I won. I agree!”

Characterizing the pursuit of him as a “threat” to liberty, Trump likened the effort to fascism.

“The new phenomenon of ‘headhunting’ prosecutors and AGs—who try to take down their political opponents using the law as a weapon—is a threat to the very foundation of our liberty. That’s what is done in third world countries,” he declared. “Even worse are those who run for prosecutorial or attorney general offices in far-left states and jurisdictions pledging to take out a political opponent. That’s fascism, not justice—and that is exactly what they are trying to do with respect to me, except that the people of our Country won’t stand for it.”

In closing, he pointed out that “murders and violent crime are up in New York City by record numbers, and nothing is done about it.”

“Our elected officials don’t care. All they focus on is the persecution of President Donald J. Trump,” he concluded. “I will fight on, just as I have, for the last five years (even before I was successfully elected), despite all of the election crimes that were committed against me. We will win!”

Trump is set to  deliver the keynote address at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Fla., closing out the event on Sunday, and its likely he’ll have more to say about the matter then.
