Larry Kudlow apologizes for bad words on hot-mic slamming Kamala Harris for vaccine plan claim

Former Trump economic adviser Larry Kudlow appeared on “America Reports” on Fox News Tuesday where he was caught on a hot-mic swearing at Vice President Kamala Harris’ claims concerning the administration’s coronavirus vaccine distribution plan.

Kudlow was discussing the debut of his new show on Fox Business with Sandra Smith and John Roberts. At the end of the segment, Smith showed footage of Harris in an interview on HBO with Axios. In that footage, Harris claimed that the Biden administration was basically “starting from scratch” in regards to their vaccine distribution rollout.

Smith proceeded to accuse Harris of making false claims concerning the Trump administration’s vaccine plan. Kudlow evidently did not realize he was still on-air and started angrily shouting, “Bullsh*t! Bullsh*t! Bullsh*t!” At that point, Fox tried to cut the audio. Smith commented “that is Larry Kudlow weighing in… Wow.”

The outburst seemed to be in response to this quote from Harris: “There was no national strategy or plan for vaccinations. We were leaving it to the states and the local leaders to try and figure it out. In many ways, we are starting from scratch on something that has been raging for almost an entire year.”

On his premiere show for the network, Kudlow apologized for swearing but then proceeded to double down on his stance against Harris’ claims.

“Earlier on Fox News Channel, I made some comments about that clip, you might have read about it, if not you could Google it,” Kudlow said. “I may have said a bad word. I’m not usually a guy who swears, but what the vice president said burned me up, and it’s simply not true, OK?” he adamantly asserted later on his show. “It is somewhere between cognitive dissonance and an outright falsehood lie.”

Harris has been criticized for contradicting Dr. Anthony Fauci who proclaimed “we’re certainly not starting from scratch” at a White House press briefing that took place on January 21st. Fauci backtracked that statement in an interview with CNN where he stated that Harris was allegedly referring to the “vague” plan for deploying vaccines.

“What the vice president was referring to is ‘what is the process of actually getting these doses into people?’” Fauci defensively stated. “That’s something that we had to get much better organized, now with getting the community vaccine centers, getting the pharmacies involved, getting mobile units involved, so that’s what I believe she was referring to.”

Kudlow was prominently a member of Trump’s coronavirus task force as well as the Operation Warp Speed vaccine rollout plan. That endeavor was very successful in developing the COVID-19 vaccine but was criticized by the left for the ensuing vaccine rollout contingency.

Kudlow acknowledged that not everything was done “perfectly” by the Trump administration, but he applauded Operation Warp Speed for successfully overseeing the production of a coronavirus vaccine and pointed out that 1.3 million vaccines were being manufactured by Inauguration Day.

The Fox News host received a lot of support on social media for his defense of Trump’s vaccination rollout and plan.

Alyssa Farah tweeted: “Larry Kudlow isn’t wrong. It’s insulting that Biden/Harris keep echoing this false claim. They inherited a vaccine plan that was doing more than 1.1 MILLION vaccines a day when they entered office. They should be thanking the Trump Administration.”

Dinesh D’Souza put it bluntly: “Larry Kudlow has no patience for Kamala’s blatant lies about Trump’s vaccine rollout.”

Steve Guest chimed in as well: “Important fact check from Larry Kudlow on Kamala Harris’ Axios interview.”

It’s clear that Kudlow’s debut on Fox News will be remembered for his hot-mic moment of truth.
