South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham’s take on congressional Democrats’ impeachment efforts against former President Donald Trump has the supposed party of love, tolerance, kindness and empathy behaving quite hateful.
So hateful, in fact, that some of their own are calling them out. How rare!
The hoopla began late Wednesday evening when Graham tweeted, “The ‘Not Guilty’ vote is growing after today. I think most Republicans found the presentation by the House Managers offensive and absurd.”
The ‘Not Guilty’ vote is growing after today.
I think most Republicans found the presentation by the House Managers offensive and absurd.

Shortly after he posted the tweet, he went on Fox News’ “Hannity” to expound further on his thoughts about the first few days of Trump’s impeachment trial.

Dovetailing back to his tweet, it provoked widespread anger and rage from the left, with CNN’s Chris Cillizza penning a whole column ostensibly debunking it.
Meanwhile on Twitter, Graham’s left-wing critics — all allegedly tolerant people who believe “loves trumps hate” — began attacking him with the allegedly homophobic slur “Lady G.”
The slur is based on the unsubstantiated theory among tolerant leftists that the senator is a closeted homosexual.
Look at the hate below (*Language warning):
Have you lost your ever loving completely blackmailed mind, Lady G?
It was the most damning argument in the history of politics. https://t.co/UdOsHZcuft

For the love of God, will you do something right? Your entire life is a lie, Lady G. Do something GOOD for once.

Oh, we’re watching the trial, Lady G. Don’t worry. But we see it differently than you. Know that you’ve peaked and the only thing you have to look forward to is private life after you leave the Senate.

YOU ARE A PATHETIC SELF LOATHING PIECE OF SHIT – LADY G, LADY G … may your pool boy write one hell of a book someday – 🖕
— WordsHavePower (@scionsteven) February 11, 2021
You are a spineless soulless POS. It is so apparent that Trump clearly has info to blackmail you. I hope you end up in a jail cell next to your Master, Lady G

No, you ass-kissing ball-sucking deplorable– what you saw was offensive and absurd, but they were actions that DONALD TRUMP WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR. His actions and your support of them are offensive and absurd. What’s he got on you, Lady G? What did he give you for your soul?
— kadjek (@kadje_k) February 11, 2021
Whatever they’re blackmailing you with must be crushing because there’s no logical reason for you to act this callously and inhumanely. You’re a self-loathing, closet case, that’s not news…what else could they be holding over you to elicit this hideous behavior #LadyG?

Lady G is only looking out for himself. He is terrified of Trump and his supporters. He will do and say ANYTHING to keep them on his good side. pic.twitter.com/lsStNYYX3A

Ooooh mah WORD, Lady G!

Surprisingly these attacks on Graham triggered a counter-reaction from LGBT-focused leftists who took offense to his critics’ use of the term “Lady G.”
I have to say this a top 10 most annoying thing on Twitter is when people call Lindsey Graham “Lady G”.
He is such a fucking horrible human. You can’t think of ANYTHING else to make fun of Lindsey than your opinion of his sexuality which would be the only good thing about him?
— Tony Posnanski (@tonyposnanski) February 11, 2021
Calling Lindsey Graham “Lady G” is not the burn you think it is and frankly says a lot more about you than him.
But calling him a lizard person is accurate and fun for the whole family.
— Padma Lakshmi (@PadmaLakshmi) February 11, 2021
“Lady G” is not it.
— dan levy (@danjlevy) February 11, 2021
But it’s what happened next that really takes the cake: The counter-reaction provoked a counter-counter-reaction of leftists attacking leftists. It basically triggered a civil war, with “Lady G”-using leftists slamming their critics for trying to police their speech.
Given the left’s love of policing people’s speech (and behavior), the irony was rich.
Then block my ass. People can & will call him Lady G if they want to. Can’t stand people like you getting on your ridiculous pedestal scolding people for calling evil people names. He & his base are homophobic POS so Lady G is to annoy him. Give it a rest & eat a Snickers.

Good, fuck you. It’s the name he earned hooking up with male escorts. I don’t give a fuck what you think about it.
