2024 shakeup? Candace Owens announces thoughts of presidential run, MLB legend pitches to be VP

Conservative Candace Owens tweeted Saturday night that she is mulling a possible 2024 presidential run. The tweet went viral and former two-time MLB World Series champion Aubrey Huff immediately offered himself to be her vice president.

Owens, a conservative writer and speaker is also a co-founder of the BLEXIT movement and is well-known for her fiery commentary on those such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other liberals.

She tweeted out to her 2.5 million followers: “I love America. Thinking about running for President.” It set social media ablaze with speculation. The tweet currently has more than 244,000 likes.

Having just turned 32, Owens would just barely make the age requirement in 2024 to run for the presidency. Although she tweeted she was considering running, Owens did not specifically say if it would be in 2024. Her tweet seemed to insinuate that is the case, however.

Owens is originally from Connecticut and studied journalism when she attended the University of Rhode Island. She did not finish her degree at the time. After that, Owens became a political force online as she took a strong stance against cyberbullying. Her political opinions have rocked social media and have brought the young conservative to prominence in politics.

The conservative powerhouse has also routinely attacked Black Lives Matter and was a strong supporter of former President Trump.

MLB legend and Trump supporter Aubrey Huff is eager to become her vice president and tweeted that out to his fans. “If you do it I’ll be your VP!”

Owens has gone head to head with a number of high-profile names including rapper Cardi B and Ocasio-Cortez. She fearlessly takes them on using social media, her microphone, and her writing abilities.

When Ocasio-Cortez smeared Republicans by claiming that they would be “crying in the walk-in fridge” if they were forced to work a restaurant job, Owens shredded her online as a “spoiled rotten brat.” The back and forth between the two was very heated.

“I used to be a waitress and I worked multiple doubles,” Owens tweeted to AOC. “I am laughing out loud at how much of a coastal elitist you have to be to view that as the definition of a hard day at work. Please get on a plane and see the rest of the world (or country) you spoiled rotten brat.”

It should be noted that Ocasio-Cortez is also 32 and will come of age for qualifying to run in 2024 as well.

This is not the first time that Owens has hinted at running. In November, she responded on Twitter to boxer Devon Alexander that she was considering it as well.

“What’s going to happen to this one after Trump is out of office,” Alexander wrote on Twitter.

“2024 is a long way off… Maybe I’ll run as his successor,” Owens snarked.

She is receiving a lot of support on Twitter concerning her possible run for the presidency. Kyle J. Maxwell’s tweet exemplifies the feelings of many out there, “You have my vote 100% not because you’re a woman, not because you’re black! Not even because you’re republican or conservative! Because I firmly agree with your viewpoints & they align with mine, and I genuinely believe you have the best interest for this nation.”

Owens has a new podcast on The Daily Wire which launched in January. She also just gave birth to a new baby boy with her British husband, George Farmer.
