Laura Ingrahm has been on top of the Lincoln Project scandal from the beginning. She was the first to give airtime to author Ryan Girdusky, who exposed the Lincoln Project’s co-founder John Weaver for his alleged grooming of young men for sex.

After disavowing Weaver, the anti-Trump Lincoln Project didn’t miss a beat in their attacks on Trump, his officials, and staff, as well as his supporters. Now, an advisor for the group, Stud Stevens, is tweeting: “We’re constructing a database of Trump officials and staff that will detail their roles in the Trump administration and track where they are now. They will be held accountable.”

But what about holding the Lincoln Project accountable? Weeks ago, Ingraham hosted Girdusky, who broke the story on Weaver’s stalking of men and young boys on social media. Originally, it was claimed that involved 21 individuals, but according to Girdusky, “it was probably 100 young men in a five-year period” that were accosted by Weaver. “Bill Cosby would blush at the actions of John Weaver,” he said in an interview on Fox News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle.

Ingraham, once again, had Girdusky on to uncover more accusations concerning Weaver, who is also a former advisor to ex-Ohio Gov. John Kasich and the late Sen. John McCain. Weaver supposedly turned into a predator who went after dozens of young men, who are now coming forward to accuse him of abuse that ranges from obscene messages to demanding sex in exchange for a job that never materialized.

It should be noted that there was a virtual media blackout covering the allegations against Weaver when it first emerged. Girdusky thanked FNC’s Laura Ingraham for being the only major outlet to cover the story. The first clip can be watched below:

Ingraham asked of Girdusky how the allegations of misconduct were uncovered on “The Ingraham Angle” Monday.  It turns out, the whole thing started with Weaver following him on Twitter last summer. After that, a number of young men reportedly contacted Girdusky and warned him about Weaver. He allegedly had a methodology for selecting his victims: He would follow them on social media and then approach them offering jobs or career advice. After he got that ball rolling, the conversation would segue into a sexual one where Weaver would get very personal, allegedly asking about their body type, what their sexual preferences might be, etc.

Girdusky dug into the story over several months but could not get any of these young men to stand up against Weaver. After he tweeted out the story and what it entailed, dozens of young men are now stepping forward and speaking out publicly against the Lincoln Project co-founder. Weaver, in the aftermath of the exposé, admitted he is gay. It turns out that Weaver allegedly preyed upon those who were following the election on Twitter and on those who hailed from his alma mater at UT Texas at Austin.

As BPR previously reported, here is Weaver’s apology:

“’To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry. They were inappropriate and it was because of my failings that this discomfort was brought on you,” Weaver said

“The truth is that I’m gay,” he added.” “And that I have a wife and two kids who I love. My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.”

After Ingraham had Girdusky on her show, the Lincoln Project scrubbed Weaver from their website. They are distancing themselves from the fallout as fast as they can, but it will arguably not be fast enough considering the guy helped create the group in the first place. The Lincoln Project is reportedly not speaking to anyone on this matter. There was only a passing mention of it on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and even then it was more apologetic than real journalism.

One young man who was a victim of Weaver’s over the last year allegedly went to the Lincoln Project and told them about Weaver. They said and did nothing about it.

George Conway openly claimed that he did not know Weaver well and was mocked for it. Weaver’s conduct has allegedly been an open secret for over a decade in D.C.

Girdusky said that there is no question the messages came from Weaver. What he wants to know is whether the Lincoln Project knew he was a predator and then, in turn, just kept quiet because he was one of their own.
