Pelosi slammed for ‘inciteful’ rhetoric after calling pro-2nd Amendment GOP lawmakers ‘enemy within’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s use of inciteful rhetoric shows no signs of abatement, as the California Democrat who previously referred to then-President Donald Trump as a “domestic enemy” called Republican lawmakers the “enemy within.”

The reason for this egregious slander is because some GOP lawmakers want to carry a firearm — see Second Amendment.



Continuing to exploit the storming of the U.S. Capitol earlier this month with extreme  hyperbole — it wasn’t an attempt to overthrow government — for maximum political value, Democrats are working hard to demonize and dehumanize the GOP.

“I do believe, and I have said this all along, that we will probably need a supplemental for more security for members when the enemy is within the House of Representatives, a threat that members are concerned about in addition to what is happening outside,” Pelosi said Thursday while speaking to reporters.

When asked to clarify the “enemy is within” remark, Pelosi pointed to the opposition, without naming names.

“It means we have members of Congress who want to bring guns onto the floor and that threatened violence on other members of Congress,” she said.

The speaker claimed Democratic lawmakers lived in fear of Republicans who carried firearms to work. After the attack on the Capitol, Pelosi had metal detectors installed outside the legislative chamber and there was reportedly a GOP lawmaker stopped from bringing a concealed gun onto the House floor.

The Denver Post reported that newly-elected U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., a staunch Second Amendment supporter who vowed to carry a Glock handgun during her term in Washington, “caused a minor incident at a security stop” at the House.

According to the paper, a metal detector alerted when she tried to enter the House chambers and she then refused to turn over her bag to Capitol Police — while Boebert did appear on the House floor that night to vote, it’s not clear how the impasse was resolved.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., said after the Jan. 6 attack that he and several colleagues “were glad to be armed while barricaded for hours in our offices with our staff.”

“The next member who argues Congressmen shouldn’t be allowed to carry firearms at work needs to be laughed out of the Capitol,” Massie tweeted.

Newly elected Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., a paraplegic, also revealed that he was armed during the siege.

But armed Republicans cannot possible be safe for Democrats — according to Nancy Pelosi.

Freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is being used by Pelosi to justify her attack.

The media has seized on previous statements and actions by Greene, who’s allegedly a QAnon follower, including a 2019 incident where she “indicated support for executing prominent Democratic politicians,” to hear CNN tell it.

“In one post, from January 2019, Greene liked a comment that said ‘a bullet to the head would be quicker’ to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the network reported.

Another incident the media took exception to took place in March 2019, when Green confronted Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg in D.C. about his efforts to restrict Second Amendment rights.

She called him a “coward” when he refused to responded to her.

Greene shared a statement online in response to the charges made against her.

“Over the years, I’ve had teams of people manage my pages,” she said in a tweet. “Many posts have been liked. Many posts have been shared. Some did not represent my views. Especially the ones that CNN is about to spread across the internet.”

Either way, her actions are no justification for Speaker Pelosi using such divisive, inciteful rhetoric against the opposition party.
