Pressure builds against GOP Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene as Dem demands her expulsion

It appears that Democrats have decided to go after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) announced on Wednesday that he will introduce a resolution to expel Greene from Congress because she poses a “direct threat” to other lawmakers.

“Her very presence in office represents a direct threat against the elected officials and staff who serve our government, and it is with their safety in mind, as well as the security of institutions and public servants across our country,” Gomez stated.

This move follows Greene introducing articles of impeachment against President Biden immediately after he took office. But the reasoning put forth here is that she supported the rioters, and Gomez claims that her Facebook posts advocated violence against Democrats and the FBI.

Gomez alleged that Greene has supported conspiracy theories, especially QAnon, and made threats in the past. He also thought she should go over her claims of election fraud. He said his decision came after “numerous reports revealing her repeated endorsements of sedition, domestic terrorism, and political violence.”

CNN was the first to do a hit piece on Greene, claiming that she supported executing prominent Democratic politicians in 2018 and 2019 before she was elected. But the entire left is doing a dog-pile on Greene trying to get rid of her. It should be noted that the graphics in the report were blurred and the posts have since been deleted.

CNN pointed to one post, from January 2019, where Greene allegedly liked a comment that said “a bullet to the head would be quicker” to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. They also claimed that Greene liked comments about executing FBI agents who were part of the “deep state” working against Trump.

“Over the years, I’ve had teams of people manage my pages. Many posts have been liked. Many posts have been shared. Some did not represent my views. Especially the ones that CNN is about to spread across the internet,” Greene replied.

Former FBI agent Peter Strzok attacked Greene as well.

“According to this reporting, Congresswoman @mtgreenee’s Facebook account repeatedly liked posts calling for killing FBI agents. She needs to be investigated and removed from office,” he tweeted.

Greene hotly responded: “You and @CNN are both co-conspirators in the biggest LIE ever told to the American people! The Trump Russian Collusion Conspiracy Theory. You used Steele’s lying dossier to lie some more to FISA & spy on @carterwpage. Your politically motivated betrayal demeans the FBI.”

Newly elected Senator Warnock (D-GA) viciously hit on Greene: “This is dangerous and unacceptable for a member of Congress. We’re entrusted to serve and represent all of our constituents. This extreme and violent rhetoric only fans the flames of division, and we’ve just seen how deadly those flames can be.”

To which Greene fearlessly responded: “You, of all people, that preaches abortion from the pulpit should not judge. You don’t believe the very word of God that created us male and female in His image and declares, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.'”

“’Pastor,’ being a heretic is far worse than fake news,” she added.

A video that is purported to show Greene harassing David Hogg, a Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor,  surfaced on Wednesday. She allegedly called him a coward which incensed the left.

“Such advocacy for extremism and sedition not only demands her immediate expulsion from Congress, but it also merits strong and clear condemnation from all of her Republican colleagues, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell,” Gomez demanded.

Greene has been a thorn in the side of Democrats since she took office. She has refused to wear a mask on the floor and when finally forced to do so, she donned one that said “censorship” on it. She is very outspoken and filing for Biden’s impeachment the day after he took office did not make her any friends on the left.

Hillary Clinton chimed in and said Greene should be “on a watch list,” not serving in Congress.

During a town hall meeting in Dalton, Georgia, Greene referred to the House of Representatives as “a House of Hypocrites,” and spoke about being banned from several social media platforms, claiming ‘Big Tech’ is attempting to silence conservatives.

“You see this cancel culture is real,” Greene intoned, “And when you are not agreeing and saying what the left wants you to say, they scream ‘Twitter safety’ non-stop as if they are calling the police, and try to ruin your life. And now they are targeting conservatives all over the nation.”

Gomez was unclear on exactly when he would introduce the resolution and it is unknown how many House members might support it. Greene seems undeterred and more determined than ever to speak her mind. She’s definitely not backing down.
