Joe Exotic FUMES at Trump for pardon snub, chalks it up to being ‘too innocent and too gay’

Joe Exotic was bitterly disappointed as the pardon he expected from former President Trump did not materialize following the issuance of numerous others. The famous “Tiger King” was not on that list. Joseph Maldonado-Passage tweeted out a tirade against Trump and Donald Trump Jr. on Inauguration Day. He claims he was ‘too innocent and too gay’ to be pardoned.

“I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump. I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post,” Maldonado-Passage said. Joe Exotic had been so sure of a pardon that he had a beauty crew and a stretch limo waiting for him at his attorney’s office. He could not contain his anger over the perceived snub. “Boy, were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first,” he added.

Maldonado-Passage’s popularity exploded after Netflix aired a documentary on his adventures entitled, “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness.” The show was an instant hit as many Americans were stuck at home at the beginning of the pandemic and were starved for entertainment. The strange show received huge ratings.

The former zookeeper and “big cat enthusiast” was sentenced to 22 years for his role in a murder-for-hire plot that targeted his chief rival, Carole Baskin. He was also sentenced for killing five tigers, selling tiger cubs, and falsifying wildlife records. He has maintained his innocence.

Joe Exotic asked Trump for a pardon and pushed for it on social media. He’s also filing a 94 million dollar lawsuit against the feds for alleged prosecutorial overreach.

Donald Trump Jr. at one point joked on a radio show that he might bring the cause up to his father. Joe took the quip seriously evidently. At a press conference, President Trump jokingly said he would look into pardoning Joe Exotic.

“Praying hard for the 19th, please keep asking Don Jr. to make sure the POTUS don’t leave us behind in this mess and this slow Justice System. Nearly 3 years now just to prove I’m innocent,” he tweeted Sunday.

Joe Exotic lashed out at Trump and Donald Trump Jr. when he realized he would not get the pardon he had begged for. Instead, he remains in jail in Fort Worth, Texas after serving one year of his mandated sentence.

Among the 73 pardons and 70 commutations handed down by Trump were rapper Lil Wayne and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon. Pardoning “The Tiger King” however was just a bit too much for Trump considering the charges against him. Joe Exotic’s legal team says they are “disappointed” former President Trump failed to pardon the flamboyant star.

Private investigator Eric Love, who is part of Exotic’s legal team, tells Fox News he’s not guilty of his convicted crimes.

“140 million Joe Exotic fans had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. We are as disappointed that [Trump] did not sign Joe’s Pardon, as we were confident [Tuesday] that he would. It is only because of you 140 million fans that Joe’s Pardon was even a possibility. Since his trial, the evidence has made it clear that Joe is not guilty but, rather, he is a victim of the persons he trusted most,” Love said in a statement.

Joe Exotic previously owned the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma which featured tigers and other “exotic” animals. His resume includes failed bids for president in 2016 and Oklahoma governor in 2018.
