‘No-Border-Biden’ official tells migrant caravan ‘now is not the time,’ but promises ‘help is on the way’

With a caravan of 9000 illegal immigrants marching on the U.S. southern border, remarkably calling on the incoming Biden administration to honor its commitments to migrants, Joe Biden already finds himself between a rock and a hard place.

Having pandered to Hispanic voters while painting himself as America’s savior regarding the pandemic, vowing to “shut down the virus,” what does Biden do about this sea of humanity flowing our way?

Well, according to NBC News, Biden is not planning to allow them to enter the U.S. — at least, not right now — with the Democrat planning to send sweeping immigration legislation on his first day in office to provide a pathway to citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants, his policies serve as an enticement to illegal immigrants.

An anonymous Biden transition official said the migrants hoping to claim asylum in the U.S. under the new administration “need to understand they are not going to be able to come into the United States immediately,” the network reported.

While Guatemala reportedly tried to hold the massive caravan back at its border with Honduras, more than 1,000 crashed through a security checkpoint on Friday.

Wanting to have it both ways, the Biden transition official tried to assure the migrants while “there’s help on the way,” now “is not the time to make the journey,” NBC News added.

“The situation at the border isn’t going to be transformed overnight,” the official said — the big question here is “transformed” into what?

“We have to provide a message that health and hope is on the way, but coming right now does not make sense for their own safety … while we put into place processes that they may be able to access in the future,” the source added.

Pueblo Sin Fronteras, a left-wing immigrant rights group that organizes caravans, released a statement appealing to the Biden administration’s “strong commitment to migrants.”

“We recognize the importance of the incoming Government of the United States having shown a strong commitment to migrants and asylum-seekers, which presents an opportunity for the governments of Mexico and Central America to develop policies and a migration management that respect and promote the human rights of the population in mobility,” the group said. “We will advocate that the Biden government honors its commitments.”

David Frum, a Never Trump conservative, said Joe Biden’s immigration plans could “wreck” his administration from the jump.

He added, “They will invite a border surge that will force Biden to choose between mass detentions or ever-accelerating unauthorized migration.”

Frum would find out real quick that the liberal love over his anti-Trump stance has a firm expiration date — the moment Joe Biden bears responsibility for anything.

Here’s a sampling of other responses to the story from Twitter, beginning with Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor who said “No-Borders-Biden” is responsible for the huge caravan, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who asked how many illegal immigrants will there be in the U.S. by 2024:
