As word broke this week that President-elect Joe Biden plans to propose legislation that would radically incentivize illegal immigration by granting citizenship to millions of illegal aliens but doing nothing to enhance border security, a caravan containing thousands of Honduran migrants began to form in Central America.

According to the Los Angeles Times, during his first days in office, Biden intends to introduce legislation that would establish “a pathway to citizenship” for 11 million illegal aliens and an expedited “pathway to citizenship” for DACA recipients — but that would contain no bulwarks against future illegal immigration.

“In a significant departure from many previous immigration bills passed under both Democratic and Republican administrations, the proposed legislation would not contain any provisions directly linking an expansion of immigration with stepped-up enforcement and security measures,” the Times confirmed.

The goal of this radical policy would be to “restore humanity to our immigration system,” as reportedly said by Biden’s incoming chief of staff, Ron Klain.

Yet such a move would undoubtedly incenticize illegal immigration — and the horrors that come with it, including the “recycling” of children — by telling the estimated 42 million people in Latin America and the Caribbean who wish to relocate to the states that they’re welcome here.

As word of the incoming president’s plans spread, so predictably did reports that a new caravan containing thousands of Honduran migrants has begun to march toward the states just in time for Biden’s inauguration.

“At least 9,000 Honduran migrants have entered Guatemala after a first group pushed past border police late Friday and others soon followed on the first step of a journey north they hope will take them to the United States,” Agence France-Presse reported Sunday.

“Guatemalan officials said the initial group numbered roughly 6,000; an additional 3,000 crossed into the country on Saturday. … Border agents asked the migrants for their papers — and demanded proof of negative coronavirus tests — but appeared to let many through who did not meet those requirements.”

The irony is that many of the migrants are seeking to escape the Honduran lockdown rules that destroyed their jobs.

“Olga Ramirez, 28, trudged along with her husband, four children ages 3 to 8, and her brother. … Ramirez said they left Honduras because staying meant running the risk of only eating every other day. She lost her job selling food in a bus station after the facility was privatized,” AFP reported.

Ramirez said in a statement to the paper, “They threw us out like we were dogs, like garbage, as if we were worthless to the country. And I have no profession to support my family.”

It’s not clear whether they realize that if they cross into a liberal state such as California, they’ll face the exact same scenario.

Guatemalan, Mexican and Honduran authorities have thus far been trying to hold the migrants at bay, thanks largely  due to agreements reached with current President Donald Trump.

“Mexican and Central American authorities have coordinated security and public health measures in a bid to deter mass movements of people across the region, deploying thousands of security forces,” Reuters notes.

The problem is that Biden seems to prefer a different route. Instead of pushing to put a stop to the caravans, as has been Trump’s goal, it appears the incoming president wants to make migration easier.

“On Thursday, Mexican officials said they had discussed migration with U.S. President-elect Joe Biden’s pick for national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, and discussed a possible program for the development of northern Central America and southern Mexico ‘in response to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic and the recent hurricanes in the region,” the Associated Press has confirmed.

It’s not clear what type of “possible program” this would be, though knowing Biden’s lax attitude toward illegal immigration, it’s not poised to be good for America.

Besides incentivizing illegal immigration, Biden also plans to re-incentivize asylum — which has been widely scaled back during Trump’s presidency — by rescinding the very same policies that had helped bring the fraud-plagued process under control.

“Mr. Biden has said he would move quickly to undo the tougher restrictions on asylum enacted by the Trump administration, which disqualified people who did not seek protection on their way to the United States and forced asylum seekers to wait in Mexico,” according to The New York Times.

It seems that with Biden in control, America will once again be an America Last nation.
