Disgraced CIA Director John Brennan, a man whom Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald recently described as an “inveterate, pathological liar” and “security state goon,” is seeking full submission by all Trump supporters.

In a Maoist-like tweet posted early Saturday evening, the former Obama administration official demanded that anyone who ever supported President Donald Trump seek “national redemption” immediately by denouncing the president and his policies so that America may “eradicate” the “malignancy” the president represents.

Anyone now seeking national redemption by claiming to no longer support Trump must acknowledge how wrong it was to ignore & enable his corrupt, dishonest, & divisive agenda. Total denunciation of a despot’s legacy is necessary to eradicate any remaining malignancy,” Brennan wrote.

Look:

Brennan posted the tweet in response to the riots at the U.S. Capitol by a group of pro-Trump extremists. While especially disturbing, the tenor of his tweet fits with what other left-wing zealots have suggested in recent days.

The going thesis among the left is that the riot is an indictment of all Trump supporters and thus of all of their respective beliefs as they pertain to policy and ideology. In other words, the riot is an indictment of conservatism itself.

As a result, Trump supporters and in fact all conservatives must surrender and denounce their beliefs, or else they’ll be forced to pay a price.

Speaking on Fox News’ “Justice w/Judge Jeanine” late Saturday, Tom Fitton, the president of the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, explained how this will work.

“The left has now said if you oppose their policies, that’s the equivalence of violence and you have to be removed. If you raise questions about election integrity, you can’t be on the Internet. If you raise questions about the lockdowns, you can’t be on the Internet,” he said.

Exactly. Leftists like Brennan are essentially trying to link the riot by a relatively select few pro-Trump extremists to all conservative beliefs, period.

If this line of thinking sounds eerily familiar to you, it may be because the talk of forcefully converting people to a different ideology and pursuing “eradication” against those who refuse to submit echoes the genocidal rhetoric of dictators ranging from Adolf Hitler to Mao Zedong.

That Brennan would join the zealots who’ve propagated such rhetoric isn’t necessarily surprising given his history of authoritarian policy-making.

As noted last year by Greenwald, Brennan was “Obama’s Chief Assassin” — a man “who presided over a global, years-long, due-process-free campaign of targeted assassinations, under which the official ‘kill list’ of who was to live and who was to die was decreed by Judge, Jury and Executioner Brennan” himself.

According to Greenwald, both he and disgraced former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper “are both inveterate, pathological liars who abused [their] power, have massive blood on [their] hands, and got caught repeatedly lying to the American people.”

Yet not surprisingly, they are now beloved by the left:

“There is no more authoritarian species in the wild than US liberals. In every controversy, they side with institutions of authority: they love the large corporate press, the FBI, CIA, workplace managers, editors – they worship & revere authority,” Greenwald opined in a tweet posted two months ago.

Of course, this general rule of thumb only applies when it’s a left-winger like them in charge. It’s why the establishment left barely complained — or at least in contrast to their hysterical shrieks in the Trump age — when former President Barack Obama spied on the media and targeted a Fox News journalist with an investigation.

It’s also why they barely complained when Brennan, Clapper and the rest of their ilk behaved like “bloodthirsty monsters and murderers,” as Greenwald has put it.

With the left, it appears power is only allowed to run in one direction — with them running everything and anybody who dares dissent being run over or, as Brennan has put it, “eradicated” …
