Video footage from Wednesday’s riot in the U.S. Capitol shows uniformed U.S. Capitol Police Officers allegedly opening the doors of the Capitol Building and then standing idly by as the pro-Trump rioters stormed inside.
Reportedly originally shared by OAN host Christina Bobb, the now-viral footage has spurred accusations that the Capitol Police had an “alliance” with the rioters.
“Disturbing video taken during the storming of the US Capitol shows five police officers apparently standing by doing nothing as throngs of President Trump rioters stream through a side entrance to the building,” the New York Post reported.
“[It] shows dozens of MAGA-hat wearing rioters shouting ‘f–king traitors’ burst through a set of doors as uniformed US Capitol Police officers, two of whom weren’t wearing masks, stood motionless with their backs to the wall.”

Note what she said about the police opening the doors for the rioters. The Post didn’t include this claim, suggesting that it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
But the footage alone was enough to trigger an outpouring of bipartisan anger and condemnation, albeit for vastly different reasons.
Some of President Donald Trump’s right-wing supporters suggested that the police’s lack of action allowed the riot to happen, meaning therefore the riot was “staged.”

Based on this video it’s apparent it was staged.. and having first hand knowledge this was a setup orchestrated by the biggest crooks the Dems, Rinos, and of course big gums Mayor Bowser. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO STAND TF UP!

Multiple videos from multiple locations showing the police opening up the gates, a few even waving the people into the building.
It really does look like the whole thing was staged, they let them in so they could whine about how the building was “stormed”.

But this dubious narrative ignores the fact that the rioters voluntarily breached police barricades, scaled the Capitol walls and killed a police officer. To be fair, the left’s narrative is no less dubious.
To hear members of the far-left tell it, the footage proves that the U.S. Capitol Police — and in fact all law enforcement agents in America — are in “alliance” with Trump.
“What we’ve witnessed at the Capitol isn’t an insurrection; it’s an alliance. … Trump has embraced a violent subculture, only more so since losing the election, that happens to be inside the mainstream of the American story thus far,” The New Republic, a radical far-left blog, argued.
“A group of people have defined their freedom as whatever the forces of law and order will let them get away with, including what the police can get away with themselves. Law and order has always been on the side of what is now called Trumpism but has been with us for a long time.”
The New Republic also echoed the oft-heard claim that law enforcement officers at the Capitol treated the Trump rioters much better than the BLM rioters the past summer were treated. This is, of course, a blatant lie.
Meanwhile, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough has embraced the claim from OAN that the officers had opened the doors for the rioters.
“Why do you scream at people for walking across the street three blocks away from the Capitol? Why are you known as ‘badasses’ around the Capitol but then Trump supporters come in and you open the f—ing doors for them? You open the doors for them and let them breach the People’s House! What is wrong with you?” he shrieked the morning after the riot.

He also echoed the BLM lie.
“If these insurrectionists were Black, they would have been shot in the face and, my God, if these insurrectionists were Muslim, they would have been sniped from the top of buildings. So I wanna know from the Capitol Hill police, is it just white people or is it Donald Trump supporters?” he claimed in defiance of the facts.
The U.S. Capitol Police were overwhelmed Wednesday for two reasons.
One, because of there being no history of Trump supporters rioting, they presumably expected nothing bad to pop off Tuesday.
And two, because of decisions by black D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, federal authorities were forced to stand down prior to the event.
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser told federal law enforcement to STAND DOWN just one day before these known pro-Trump agitators arrived. “To be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment,” she wrote.

Regardless, punishment has been doled out and is continuing to be doled out not only to the rioters but also the U.S. Capitol Police officials responsible for Wednesday’s failures.
